- Four police officers were killed and four others injured in a shootout while executing a warrant on a felon for firearm possession in a North Carolina home on Monday, according to police.

The feds have killed a couple of other people in their homes recently. I believe both of those raids had many questionable circumstances. Looks like the tables turned today.
What you don't get? The man got killed in the front yard then the 17 yo, probably the son, grab the rifle and killed the cops

It started with the promotion of guns by permitting open carry with a permit. Now a lot of states relaxed the laws even more where you don’t need a permit to carry and this created a bigger tidal wave for more guns. People will tell you it’s for protection from criminals but some of those same people will someday be that criminal with a lot of guns. You mix that with the attitudes change because of different races thinking they’re being disrespected and you get a chaotic society. America is in trouble.

I’ll never understand going to someone’s house instead of literally grabbing them ANYWHERE else! Where they don’t have the upper hand and forcing cops or the suspect to die.
I would be remiss not to offer my condolences. I did not want to forget to acknowledge that pain and suffering.
Everybody that lost their life in that raid is a victim. A victim of unjust laws, misplaced priorities, and bad policing. This style of "raid" where the cops play soldier and rush into a residence with guns blazing is unnecessary and totally TOTALLY uncalled for! They have resources to surveil the subject and stop and arrest him at a place where he wouldn't have a tactical advantage, and in a place that would be safe for bystanders as well. But no! They insist on playing dress up and pretending they are soldiers! For the sake of their ego and to justify ever increasing budgets to get more "toys" and of course some extra to siphon into chief's yacht and mansion fund.

Very sad. If this wasn't a hostage situation I dont understand why the police think its the best idea to try and apprehend a known armed fellon at a residence. Very poor decision on their part imo.Unfortunately its only going to get worse. Criminals dont obey laws thats why for many reasons our 2nd Amendment is so important. Thoughts and prayers.

What a sad day: families of the fallen officers will never be the same. “ Tragic day” wonder what tactical rehearsals they trained in before actually going for the criminal. Felon with a firearm warrant, wouldn’t you practice practice before going to his “fortified position” (home) what other less risky options were reviewed. Don’t worry the female and 17 year-old will be living for many years to come.

What’s really sad is the risk to the entire neighborhood by these cops serving a warrant at the residence. Cops are smart enough to execute warrants at better times and in better places. They are overconfident and today it caught up with them. The obvious lack of concern for innocents is getting old very fast and sooner or later there will be little to no public sympathy when cops don’t go home.
