Truth was written by guitarist Vinnie Vincent for inclusion on the album, "Guitars From Hell" that he recorded in the late 80's. Sadly, this album was shelved and it was never officially released.
Vinnie Vincent was the guitarist for the band KISS (1982-1984) and had a successful solo career after KISS when he formed the band Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Vinnie has been out of the spotlight since the late 90's after releasing the CD's titled "Euphoria" and "Speedball Jamm".

I met Vinnie at a KISS Expo in New Jersey back in the early 90's. He was a super nice Guy and answered alot of questions for Us. Thank You so much for posting this video and song! Vinnie is truely a amazing guitar player without a doubt as well as a great song writer. I hope We hear some new music from Him soon!😈

it was in the 90's I remember reading about Guitars from Hell. also right in 1990 slaughter came out & that's when Vinnie would have been working on other solo stuff. he did record one with Robert the original singer. thanks for the upload

Hmm - I would Love Vinnie to make a comeback - if he did not Kiss - they ruined his originals - Boyz Rock (warrior demos) turned into And on the 8th day on Kiss Lick it up (last song too wtf to that) and then returned as boys are gonna rock on VVI Invasion. Awesome
Don't get me wrong - am a huge kiss fan - but VV not a good fit - he needs to write in his own way - without the barriers of the rich

Damian Bonadono Trust me...he won't! Not to piss on your parade. Vinnie was great, but he likes to portray himself online as still being a relevant artist and even Live-act. Trust me...if you put together the money, even an astronomical sum to get him to play, Vinnie wouldn't have turned up. He has personality disorders, being a recluse, and him and his now dead ex-wife Diane, hadtroubles w. the liqour. Vinnie lived off chinese takeway-food, and only left the house dressed up as a women. Constantly paranoid. His paranoia was allready showing in 1996 when I attended several Kiss conventions, where he appeared. He demanded 10 body guards at some point, which was not in his contract for appearing at the conventions. He was afraid some crazy Ace Frehley-fan would show up and kill him. Like that would have happened....Kiss had allready reunited with Ace & Peter. At first people were allowed to take pictures w. Vinnie. I remember my friend wanting to hold his arm around him and do the "devil horn" sign and Vinnie got all upset about he didn't want to be touched, yet at the earliest expose fans were allowed to pose with him. That all changed after his wig moved when he fell aleep on the expo tour bus, and even Diane reacted. After that, he got paranoid about someone accidently making his wig fall off when holding around him for pics.
I wish Vinnie would sort himself out and return to music, but sadly it is not going to happen, When the bills keep piling up, he will reappear with one of his scams to lure money from his loyal fanbase. The Vinnie Vincent Archives box set, that he took pre-orders for, and never repayed the fans that ordered it, comes to mind.
After Diane passed away, Vinnie apparenly moved somewhere south. Some say he lives with his sister. He still is a lot online, thinking he has his own big company, where he uses several different names online, but never as VV. "Meredith" is one of the many names. I know for a fact he is reading a lot of message boards and yt-comments regarding him. He doesn't like being talked about / discussed online apparently. Especially if it's anything negative.
I just wish he would get some help, sort himself out and start writing and perhaps record music again.

Any evidence that it's really a new VV demo? The sound tells a lot actually, but still I'd be happy to see some evidence.
It was a song originally recorded by Vinnie in 1989-1992 during the Guitars from Hell/Guitarmaggedon sessions. Sadly like many of the songs from those sessions, they are available only as low quality bootlegs. Many are here on TH-cam though, including this one.
The version here is recorded by Japanese guitarist Yukihiro Omura (onefinger1691 on youtube) and US bassist Damian Bonadono in 2014.
They did an awesome job with their version.

actually it was Paul Stanley who created the Ankh makeup for Vinnie. Vinnie never signed the legal documents that said he was an official member of KISS.

lucas lopez Actually it was stupid to never sign anything - he lost millions in royalties, licensing, etc. Which is why he has tried to sue them like 17 times and lost each case - he has nothing legal with his signature on it. Just stupid.
i understand what your sayin but sign what is the million dollar question im sure paul n gene wanted control of his Sourcer image for merchandising if anything Vince sued for songs he wrote and im sure he isnt gettin any royalties from Lick it Up or any cd he contributed to til this day they get angry when he does appearances in his Sourcer costume
lucas lopez First of all it was an Egyptian Ankh symbol - the symbol of eternal life - and Paul Stanley came up with it. He also came up with Eric Carr's "Fox" design.
Here's the reality - when you join an established band like KISS you don't have a lot of rights - you are joining a multi-million dollar corporation. Vinnie was just an employee. He co-wrote songs with them and was paid per show - and that's it. The band owned everything else because they are the corporation not Vinnie.
Vinnie not signing a contract officially stating he was a member of the band was stupid and lost him a lot of money. That is why he lost every lawsuit he filed. He screwed himself and nobody else.

I know from him while I asked if he's interested in playing sum solos on my solo cd so we'd get in a conversation bout the old dayz and so on he told me his problems, for a few minutes it's ok but for more not he hopes to get some sort of relief via medical supplies I do suffer from a kind of rheumatic atritis one reason why I'm a blood desease which leads to that my blood's corroded and the transfer of oxygen getting down to zero and the 2nd point is that one of my ex cunts hits me at the back of my grab hand while she'd been jelleous if I playin the rack she's a insane fucked up slut I threw her out so a piece of bone like a shart trilled into the nerves and needed to be removed that's why I understand the frustration and anger depression he'd got and still fights against.he gets new treatment as ya see were are all those sp called friends band mate's keep it true

lancetop Not sure...he wasn't at the 1996 Kiss expos I attended. He pretended to play rythmguitar w the cover band that he appeared with. His guitar wasn't even plugged in at some of thos events, and he refused to do any solos. Blamed it on having hurt his hand/finger and he has a bandage on his hand. It kept changing fingeers and at one point even hands...from night to night. Poor excuses because he hadn't played a guitar since 1991-92.

I think in time Vinnie would have mastered his style ...but if its not coming from your heart & soul you never achieve that reward. I don't think he was honest with his playing at all ...look what he was doing in the late 70's with that Felix dude ...then wrote with Paul & Gene and KISS ...he played whatever needed to be played ..it wasn't sincere or just him writing ...he was a jack of all guitarists !! And if you don't find who you are on guitar by that age you wont ...you end up sounding like others ..and like Vinnie did , he sounded like a handful of guitarists who were popular ta the time. In 1982 he was already 30yrs old ..in 1990 he was already 38yrs old ...he was too old ,,done ,,washed up , done , finished ..a never has been ...sad man ...sad legacy ...he had potential but his queer lifestyle which made him too sensitive & a hard guy to like as well as thieving nature ...he was an angry little man whose anger came out while he played. Over on his Fan Forum it has been confirmed that he is a cross dresser ..a transvestite ...he has been seen dressing as a women in Tennessee in the past + its reported that he has moved south as he lost his house do to a foreclosure on it earlier this year.
