Model Railway Masterpiece Deceptively Real Old Tramway of France

- This beautiful model railway layout was built by Hans Louvet from the Netherlands. The model railroad presents the old narrow gauge based tramway de Puy de Dôme near Clermond-Ferrand, France. The model shows the little village, La Baraque, with its buildings and with the old tramway. The layout was built in 1:64 scale, narrow gauge respectively meter gauge. The dimension of the model train layout is 300 x 180 cm but there are thousands of amazing details. It looks like it is real: The scratch built and weathered locomotives, and the deceptively real buildings. Please, enjoy this masterpiece of model railroading. The average person can't possibly imagine the hour's of work that goes into a layout like this. This the most vintage realistic layout I've ever seen, it look's so old world village like. It's an absolute masterpiece for sure, I've never seen such realism, you certainly should be proud of it!
*hours of work..., it looks so old world village... You need to learn how to pluralize, how to use possessives, and how to use the singular form of a verb.

The music and scenery have aroused in me a desire to return to my childhood home in a simpler, kinder time. The home I grew up in was within sight and sound of a railroad switching yard and we had no need for a car, we walked everywhere. Though I would still prefer to go back, in truth it was not perfect, bad things happened there too. But it was better, still, back then people had time to visit, no one had their face buried in an I-Phone. Families stilled gathered around the dinner table together at night. There is no going back, in reality, still I DREAM.
Do you happen to know the name of that tune? It sounds so familiar but we, husband and I, can't recall the name of it.
You want 7 mins and 56 secs of total escapism? Then watch this. Amazing model building with top class weathering techniques along with a perfect soundtrack. Though a model builder myself, I'm not into model railways but I absolutely enjoyed this.
The hotel reminds me of hearing a college student talk about his French class. I told him that 50 or so years ago when I studied the language the thrust was to get a hotel room with a bathroom on your floor. He laughed and replied, “It still is.”

There are train sets that showcase the trains and then there are train sets that showcase the skills of an artists skill in miniature replication. This is truly a masterpiece where the train is just a feature of the artwork.

Having visited old French towns, this layout made me kind of homesick for them. The layout is beautiful.

It was still better days imo when the men wore powdered wigs. Smaller wigs would've done the trick I think but there are always some who go full in for opulence and wear the massive fancy ones..
And not too slow as in the forgotten small towns nowadays where the old folks just wait to die probably

The first scene has a representation of the rare "Fell system" centre rail for steep grades,
which is historically accurate for the prototype. Very interesting!

This made me feel oddly nostalgic. But it makes me feel calm and for that I thank you.
I've seen this layout several times in real life, but I've never experienced it so intense as with this video. The layout is magnificent, but this movie really brings out the best of it. It creates the right atmosphere to really absorb and enjoy it. It's without a doubt the most beautiful video made of a model layout I've ever seen. As one user describes it below, "it nearly brought tears to my eyes". Indeed. Well done and thank you so much.

Les memoirs aux le gauloises, le gitannes, le petit dej quand vous pouvez tremper votre croissant en cholcolat et un bouteille du vin avec chacque dejeuner et tous les jour le pastis, oui, le vrais France! (Je suis anglais, s'il te plait excuse mon français).
C'est vraiment mon reportage préféré de la chaîne. A chaque fois que je le regarde, je suis sous le charme. La maquette est exceptionnelle et la réalisation de la vidéo, parfaite. Les fondues enchaînés, la musique, le cadrage, tout.

I compliment you on a masterpiece. This is an object lesson tp anyone who wants to video a mosel railway. You mannaged to avoid any glimpse of the real world or babble of conversation while retaining the train noises. The music was perfect. It is a pity that the people don't move. My own attempts at a layout always avoid people for that reason.

You can imagine yourself almost being there.What a beautiful job he did on the layout. What a joy for any train lover and children to see and enjoy. I've loved trains and train travel since I was a young child. I was so taken with my first train ride. I still am in my older age just fascinated by them .
