Like a great song or piece of art, this beautifully crafted model restores my faith that there are still talented builders out there in this age of ubiquitous cell phones and Play Stations.
I watched this 3 years ago, and enjoyed this beauty even more ! Most scenes are like perfect paintings. What a pleasure to walk through this place again.
Wow. What a fantastic work f art. I loved the homage to George Selios on the sardine cannery. Growing up in Castine, Maine, this really appeals to me. I like Sellios South Franklin and Manchester, too, but that layout is sometimes overwhelming nd almost overcrowded. This has some welcome "space" to it. Amazing accomplishment.
The man is a watercolor artist as a profession all the houses and the trees are hand made all the stones and bricks on the houses are hand painted on cardboard. The water and rock formations are hand painted and all figures. So all his engergi has gone into this thats why standard rail. When we from our model railroad club visited Troels layout we focused on his amazing artwork on house and nature.
@ Thanks for that information and also for making an excellent video given the circumstances of having visitors around!

Beautiful work, but nothing moving? The setting is excellent, but it would be nice to see the operation as well.

This short film is just a little bit of a much longer movie that I filmed in 3D and 2D I might post the rest when I have time to edit / transform it to the appropriate format where you can see some trains moving our club's visit was firstly to see the craft behind the environments.
+wixom01 Hope OP speaks some german. In english I have to say this is the most beautiful layout I have ever seen! Incredible CRAFTSMANSHIP! Every building looks so real. IMHO, this has to be amonth the finest layouts in the world! Thank you for posting.
Nice work, is this at static diorama or running railroad (no trains ran in the segments I skipped thru and saw)

Didn't catch that til you said it. Yeah. All that A1 modeling work deserves hand laid narrow gauge or commercial track. Code is OK, but alas, ties too short..Welp, it's still a great layout anyway !...

Boring!! No trains running to catch my interest right away.

It is not the trains that are the primary here it is the landscape and how he hand painted everything by hand every brick, wave, figure, and everything else on cardboard there are not many who would do that. 🚂 🚂

His attention to detail is truly amazing.....love his sky in the background
A superb layout by a guy who is a worldclass artist besides being a world class modeller!
The detail....so absolutely authentic looking.
Such fantastic attention to detail - just perfection!
True craftsmanship....Inspirational!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful layout. The detail is incredible!
The scenery is great but the weathering on the buildings is absolutely superb.
Too real. I want to live there

Conny Jörnryd - Well, his engerigi was very well placed. The Troëls Layout is a work of art!
Love the hole set up
That is THE most stunning model I've ever seen.
This rivals George Selios "Franklin and South Manchester" layout. And I didn't think that would be possible. Great job.
You have created a modelling masterpiece! The detail in the structures and the human characters are wonderful. Thanks for inspiring me!

I didn't see any trains moving. Does it actually run anything?
At about 8:40 you see a locomotive running.
amazing
Looks flawless but could use some jugs and bottles and cups etc. I used to dig privys from this era and bottles were plentiful.
Wow!
Amazing ,, though I ""missed the train""
where is this layout from?

What language was been spoken...?
Swedish and a mix of Danish and a little English.
Trole have lived in the main in the USA a couple of years and he is Danish
initially
Brilliant scenery modelling and weathering although I find the use of HO track rather than 0n30 a bit odd. Still a REALLY, REALLY nice layout.
I noticed that too but the way he colored it and buried it in ballast is quite striking.... Looks to be Atlas Code 100.
Layout is Main in USA
Such a beautiful layout. It seems like a crime to use HO track. Doesn't make much sense to me, but still fantastic scenery.
Amen to your comment on HO track. I also would have liked to have seen more than 10 seconds of trains actually running!
