Junko thing would bring huge amount of problems for the group he would be affiliated with and yakuza is a syndicate. Its not one gang. There are multiple groups involved. That kind of gives away in a first place that he had no connections to them. I would not be surprised if his family just did not care or even joined in and people around did not care (Most people are selfish pieces of shit). Craziest part is that the parents of the guy whose house Junko was brought saw the girl multiple times in distress and didn't do nothing. I think they were leaving for holiday or something if I'm correct, but they were a good portion of it in the house. To this day I still struggle to grasp that Junko's murder is actually real. I know that it is. It's just that it's so.. unbelievably brutal, it sort of feels unreal. Those monsters did everything horrible to her that a person can just think of. It feels more like a horrifying case in a very twisted and over the top psychological horror manga, in which the author just kept stacking everything horrible they could come up with to make a very disturbing scene. It's hard to grasp that this actually happened outside of fiction... That some people were this horrible, cruel, and just.... gone, that they actually did this to a real person. It's just really hard to accept that there are people like that out there. And that the ones who did it are living their lives, blending into the crowd...

And I thought the US justice system was utterly ridiculous, but my god, South Korea takes the cake. It's baffling to me how those monsters are able to rejoin society in just a matter of a few years despite what they did to that poor girl (they still participated in the abuse). That's absolutely infuriating, it's an injustice to that child and her family! Cases like this would be heartbreaking if everyone was an adult. So when minors are involved, it's just devastating. Then you look at the other girls, and part of you sees their age and say they're victims too, but it's upsetting not a single one told the police what was happening. I went through a year where I was groomed when I was a tween/young teen, and my dad told me something that has stuck with me ever since. When they're saying you're mature for your age, trying to make you feel special, you need to ask why this person isn't with women their own age. It's usually because they want someone moldable, more pliable to make them do things an older & more informed person would do. They've tried tricks on people their age, and they didn't work, trying for younger and younger victims until they found the sweet spot of age and level of maturity that they could turn into their toy. It's made easier if you have insecurities, have been abused before, etc, but it's not necessary. They can go after the most well-adjusted & educated 13-year-old and still sweet talk and love bomb their way into destroying them. If you're able to see that pattern, try to cut off contact. It's not your fault, and I know that may not feel right ( I still struggle with that reality and affording myself the same grace as I give others who have been through it) but it's 100% true. You do not deserve to have your heart, mind, and body being toyed with for someone else's pleasure & ego. Stay safe, y'all.

That's deeply disturbing what happened to Yoon. She didn't deserve any of this.
I've heard about Junko and it's also some crazy shit.

Cases like this hit so hard for me.
This happened years ago, but I had a relative that was kidnapped and forced into prostitution in Korea.
The Korean laws back then didn't protect women and it didn't have strict regulations for these heinous crimes.
I saw her living the rest of her life through the after effects that and her passing was so heartbreaking.
I keep thinking about her here and there and it makes me so sad. My relative never got the justice she deserved.
Thank you for posting these videos up to raise awareness of these perpetuated evil that keeps happening to women.
This just shows how much the Korean justice system, even the society, needs work to protect its own people, especially for the girls and women.

I was aware ‘All of Us Are Dead’ acknowledges bullying in South Korea but I had no idea was worse than the show portrayed it, it’s on same design but she describes is much worse & heard suicide rates in South Korea are high, i been bullied & still get bullied but I wish I could tell South Koreans it gets better! You gotta pull through the difficult days, the darkest days, live for your loved ones, live for yourself. As you get older any bullying means so little & you learn to ignore them.

Does that law still exist that if they are under the influence then they aren’t responsible for their actions? Or the law is similar? I know because of that case with that child who never got justice because her assailant was drunk. Is that why they tried to bring it up to get less time?

they beat, prostituted and tortured her like that but they 'didn't think they could kill her??like wtf? Juvenile case, yes i get it, but i'm livid with the sentencing...they should all get a life! sentence them according to the gravity of their crimes! they didn't felt remorse as they carried on with their crimes after they dispose the girls body and ended up killing another man. They can't go back to society...they are animals.

i know about 3 words total in korean but i really am enamored by the ease with which you pronounce all of the locations and names with proper inflection in the midst of telling the story and i can't describe my appreciation any better than that
also, always pleasant to find another true crime narrator who respectfully tells these stories! thank you!

I feel disgusted by this act, but also, extremely confused. These people were beating up and torturing this poor girl, and then they get all shocked when she dies from their injuries? Like, the heck were they expecting was gonna happen????

No matter how many times, or whatever. Erosion, when I hear this story, I feel it’s the or one of the most evil murder, torture, sadistic torture murder I’ve ever heard off. It’s brings me to the brink of tears and shake my head, wondering how people so young, could be so evil! And how she survived for so long…..it’s a case one never forgets.😪

this is so sickening. it baffles me how in both cases they TORTURE these people for WEEKS and more, and then are shocked when they die??? how do they not expect it?? they are genuinely so stupid. and it’s so disgusting how little time they got in jail??? they deserve life in prison…

I'm glad the friend to whom one of the assailant girls admitted her crimes took the statement seriously and reported it to the police. Those girls probably wouldn't have faced any consequences for their actions otherwise.
Every time people say "They're just teenagers, they can't harm you", I scoff. Clearly, that's not the case. Humans are vile, no matter their age. Assuming them to be harmless merely due to them "being young" is clueless at best, and deliberately ignorant at worst.

I watch and read a lot about true crime and no crime has ever made me feel sick to my stomach like Junko's torture and murder... I will forever be gutted about the injustice of that case. The only fitting punishment would have been to do the same to those boys what they did to her.

Sometimes our humanity stops us from delivering true justice. The girl suffered horribly and lost her life to monsters. Humans kill monsters. Why are we trying to humanize and sentence them as humans?

  • @neethuraju

Is bullying that common in south korea? I thought that the bullying in some movies and dramas are exaggerated. Why couldn't the teenager inform the teachers or parents that they are being bullied? Are they ashamed to tell that they are being bullied? The father should have immediately taken her to the police station.
There are so many loose ends in this case.

    • @yurishaa.9337

There's this 'save face' thing even when they do, in most south-/east asian countries (heck this even happen for other reasons in middle east, idk in yours) they tried to conceal the problems so as not to lose whatever images they have. That's the reason the parents of Junko's torturers won't save her besides the sons' affiliation to gangsters, and there's so many in Korea but heaven helps you if you want to look out for Gwangju Inhwa School or Milyang(?) case to learn more about this thing.
