Due to the success of Dragonflier and the minimal downtime Dragonflier gives the park, my bet is on another Vekoma. Maybe an above track, new design coaster and can still give the theming they look for.
According to my cousin, who’s the attraction manager at Dollywood, don’t expect them to work with Intamin anytime soon after he experienced Thighcrush at Hersheypark. However, due to both Six Flags Over Georgia and Carowinds both having B&M Hypers, I suspect that Dollywood would instead go with Mack Rides for their Hyper to set themselves apart from those parks.
Dollywood announced in June that along with their new resort Heartland Lodge & Resort they will also be adding a "multigenerational" roller coaster in 2023. So end the speculation, it IS coming in 2023, and it will be Multigenerational. So kids, parents, grand parents. The only 9n of these options that you motioned that fits that is the heavily themed indoor coaster.....without a forceful launch though based on multi generational. The rest do not fit the description of the plans Dollywood has in 2023.
