He put a great show every night. He is over aa hell. He was tag team champ not long ago. I think he will get a title ahead.
If everyone's favorite wrestler was booked at the top all the time, there wouldn't be a show. AEW Dynamite matches are all at main event level, so just because Penta isn't always in the main event does not mean fans like myself don't put him on the same level as Kenny Omega. Penta is unbelievably respected in the industry by fans and peers alike, you're getting your feelings confused with reality. They're not the same.

I love the line Cassidy admitting that title means everything to him. Because at first glance the OC character doesn't care, even admitted himself the OC character is a pro wrestler who doesn't want to wrestle. Yet him finally getting a big win holding that championship made him care made him wanna wrestle and defend it. I'd honestly like if they gradually start showing some more dimension layers to Cassidy with some more promo time here or there. Especially since he doesn't talk much.

Orange Cassidy is underrated. The way he gets the crowd engage with comebacks through the match reminds me of shawn, not as dramatic but in that relm of even though he’s getting his ass whooped, he’s gonna pull off a win somehow. He’s lowkey the best champion of 2023 throughout all major wrestling companies because of the consistency
,the length of his matches and the story telling. All 23 defenses haven’t been squash matches (from what I can remember) might have to go back and rewatch.
plus he fought alot of big name talents to and dont cheat r have people help him
The only reason he was in overlooked was cause of what he said, being different and his size. People that think that way twist the perception of what a wrestler is accomplishing. He entertains fans, he has bangers of wrestling matches, and wins them in many different ways. Can't ask for much more. I hope he beats Moxley.
There's not too many guys that can have a dozen of title defenses and still be fun to watch. Cause he didn't need major storylines to make his matches entertaining to watch.

Underrated, you must need drug tested. In my 50 years as a wrestling fan, he is the most overrated bum I have ever see n in a wrestling ring. Even worse than George Gulas, or David Flair. Even ExCon Dom looks manly compared to Pockets.

I feel like a lot of long title runs have different phases. At first, you’re like “I wonder why he still has this belt”, then you kind of expect him to lose to basically any top challenger, then when it gets to a point like it has with Orange Cassidy you don’t even want it to end
Very nice promo, but I didn't like how Penta lost. He survived after two or three Fear Factor and then the mighty roll-up...

With Orange Cassidy, less has always been more, so when he does cut a promo, it feels that much more special. And it was a good, no-nonsense babyface promo. Probably one of the best we've had this year.
Man when orange cassidy aew all Atlantic championship reign is all said and done this is going into my top 5 best championship reigns in aew history dude has been wrestling almost every single week nonstop for the past 10 MONTHS. Also orange vs moxley for the aew all atlantic championship in my opinion should main event All out orange deserves it with the reign he’s been putting on.

I'ma respect the gimmick,and instead I'll say TRUTH
He took a title that felt like absolutely nothing, and turned it into probably the top workhorse belt in all of wrestling. He went from "hur hur, he's that guy with his hands in his pockets" to an undeniable top champion in the business. He has shown so much growth in his character, while staying true to himself. And he's had a great story arc over the course of his defenses, slowly being worn down, but never giving up, showing his true potential that he's always hidden behind his cool, aloof facade.
If you had told me a year ago Orange Cassidy was going to be in a position where he was not only going to face Jon Moxley in a title match, but it felt extremely unlikely that Orange Cassidy was gonna lose that title match, I might not have believed you. This is how much of a contender OC has become.

The promo at the end was great, but how are people not sick of OC winning every match with a lucky roll up. 😑
Because that's the story at play here. He began his reign winning every match decisively. He won every match fair and square with his finisher.
As time has come and gone, his punch has grown weaker from the abuse. To maintain the title, he has no choice but to use a roll up to win. His body is giving out on him and he knows his time is over soon.
Orange Cassidy is really Him. He’s been Him his whole AEW career but it needs to be acknowledged.

Looking at the damage done to Cassidy, I have really low expectations that he'll retain at All Out, no issues with Mox, but I don't think that Mox needs the title.

It is a shame what has happened to Penta. With all do respect to Mr. Cassidy and all of his efforts since winning this belt, but I feel that Penta is just as qualified to a win such a title too.
I like his run and this promo. It's given some definition to the OC character. I like he's someone seen as a joke yet is a great wrestler when he goes. I feel like in kayfabe the OC whatever style is a mask. Kinda like when Spiderman jokes non stop fighting a villain. It's to cover up being scared, not wanting the other to know they're better. So in OC's case it's keep that front up so people let their guard down. But with all the defenses being tired gradually worn down so much he's showing the real guy caring deeply about this all.

As you said, it's kind of how spider-man first acts all loveable and goofy at the start of a movie/book- only acting serious and truly badass when push comes to shove near the end of the story/arc.

He is a true champion defending his title and always gives it his all.
Unlike many other wrestlers he is not a thug and only resorts to their level when he has no choice.

Orange Cassidy is incredible. Every match of his championship reign has been a banger and all had different stories. Give this man his flowers and assumedly a long vacation if he loses to Jon Moxley at all out.
Penta was also amazing this match, loved when he press slammed Orange, he's so fucking ripped now.

This title reign has been amazing. Every matches have been great to amazing. This man doesn't get enough credit for all the work he's put on. The promo at the end was really simple but also very good and effective.
