Found the failure point causing the oil leak above the oil filter housing. Easy fix thankfully and just waiting on the new sensors now! Also finally got around to swapping out the broken ignition cylinder so no more starting Miley with a flathead hah

3:16 and that is exactly why I remade my whole engine harness from scratch in my Vento VR6.

You can take the tumbler back out and swap the key slots/teeth outta the old tumbler to the new one. Or just take a few teeth/slots outta the new one until your key works lol

On the bright side, looks like you got a spare key out of this, lol.
Also, are you looking to do Bristol Volksfest next year by any chance?

So much easier to just pull the spline from under the steering wheel and do it all from the top instead of getting under the dash

Eh I’ve just gotten used to doing it this way. Usually like 5 min to pull it out and about 10 going back in.

So do you now have to use 2 keys?? One key to unlock the door and one key to start the car??

I haven’t finished the video, but he shouldn’t need to. This just happened to my mk4 in February. The key lock cylinder turns the ignition part of the cylinder. You just swap out the key lock part to the new ignition cylinder, which takes 10 seconds.
