I saw Steve Macdonald make those pieces with the dust and with sand. They both turned out great, and so did your piece. I'd probably use both the sand and dust in a mold that was easier to work with, such as those thinker molds everyone was using earlier this year. Or possibly a tray mold because of the mess you and Steve had to deal with. However, the work you both put in definitely paid off. I've been making a lot of pieces with the Mix2Mold lately, but I finally pulled out some epoxy resin I purchased earlier and plan to try that now.
Came out awesome! I’ve seen people use potpourri too, it came out beautifully. I’ve seen people put in old rejected pieces in to take up space too! 😂 But it will float. I’ve heard if you weigh a finished piece that’s how much resin it is. Might not work if you add stuff though. 🤷♀️ Ohhhh his teeth are cool!
Thank you for reminding me my Distress Oxides are for surface use, only. I eyeball them from time to time and ponder... This piece just makes me laugh. Not for what you chose or the execution. I was considering how much combined product, Resincrete & Magic pour, I have left, yesterday. I pondered fillers, namely handmade paper I oopsed in dying. I had talked myself out of rolling the dice, then you come along with sawdust & resin! I'll be laughing 'til Sunday🤣👍
Awesome skull and yes as nicely done as Steve's. Less messy as he packed it all in by hand! LOL
Thanks, and I don't like getting my hands sticky, and I am that way whether I am wearing gloves or not. : )

Have fun with the resin. I am trying to bounce back and forth between the two products.
I’ve learned to always have a few spring clamps of various sizes in my craft kit. They come in handy often.
I have two, one I couldn't find until after the fact. I may have to look into investing in a few more in different sizes.
It looks great .
Thank you!

I am game to try different things in my resin, and then there are some things I am not so sure about. Glad you like the teeth.
