Re: risk assessment, it's also worth noting they are very solid in the retail space as well, both retailing direct, but also through FLGS. I'd see them as a solid proposition.
Like you, simply not a game genre that holds any interest for me these days.

Totally agree, most of my experience with them has been through retail and they’ve been fantastic with communication and delivery. Like yourself it’s just not my kind of game :(

Good job! You get right to the point! Short and sweet!
As far as myself, I am not sure whether this is a game genre for me...
IN THEORY, I feel that I SHOULD like skirmish type of games - but I have discovered that I don't like games which are overly tactical. For me, there has to be some type of strategic elements, which guide me in my decision making - whether it be an objective card - or something which I can use to synergize somethings together, which "click".
Games which are overly tactical don't really guide me in what I should do. I need the game to "hold my hand" so to speak - and I haven't played enough skirmish games, but they seem like they would be more of the later type of game, correct? Because, there are just soooooooo many permutations in play: Which unit to move, where to move it, etc. - which would lead to AP.

Skrim was an incredible jurney... I'm so happy to receive the game in a good windows time... way better comparing to other KS / GF campaign.
I think the game is solid and can be a nice add in my collection... the issue is to choose the pledge level :P

I’ve been loving the Skyrim adventure game, Homeworld is just a very different type of game but at least backers will be well looked after

I know this is 10 months old, but yes, Modiphius ended up having a good amount of issues with this launch.

I'll definitely take a look but can't guarantee it'll make it onto the channel I'm afraid

i love homeworld but i can't afford 95 bucks for a game in never gonna get to play. I'd love to buy just the models, cuz the ships in homeworld are so good. but I'm not rich so that price prices me out.

I’d say you’ll likely be able to buy faction ship packs with the retail release, that’s just my assumption though

@@shouldyoubackitthey stated that the factions are preorder only

Why I did not back Homewold if I like the videogame?
Hex tacticsl game. Battletech may be crunchy but great as hex game. I feel like Homeworld might feel a bit generic in comparison.
The videogame is too linear for RPG. Go here, then go there. Adventure would be roaming an area with some objectives, normally with combat. If you play Mechwarrior Destiny, you have an entire galaxy to explore at will.
As for merely tactical, Star Wars Rebellion offers me a light skirmish minigame.

Kinda confused as if this is a wargame or a boardgame it looks like both.

I think it definitely seems to be trying to straddle both
