So s fantastic. May the Living God keep Fr Rohr amongst us as long as possible so he can continue to preach and teach the Gospel of Christ.

Powerful sermon. I believe he is on to something. If the Christian religion is to survive it needs to be centered on love and not judgement.

(Realize) It's a gift. Let it flow through you to everyone else. A blessing in itself.

I think most of us in the USA need to rethink 'God'. Many of us have been in a reward/punishment system. The 'gospel' Rohr is talking about is better news than I ever heard growing up!

And it’s the REAL GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, not the attenuated, vengeful and frightened ‘gospel’ of small men.

I'm confused . If someone is constantly abusive towards me . Should I keep them in my life to continue to be abusive and forgive and be kind to them ???

Hello jazz boo, I understand how this can be confusing, but I'll try to lend some clarity. The short answer to your question is NO, you are not obligated to remain in an abusive relationship and I'd say you should not remain in an abusive relationship, but in as much as it is up to you, you should be kind to the abuser and pray for them.
Now, with that said, a few qualifiers.....
What is the nature of this relationship? Romantic and married, romantic unmarried, platonic, relative, etc
What is the nature of the abuse? physical, mental, emotional, all of the above?
In any of these varied relationships you should be kind to the other and pray for them, however, you are not obligated to remain in an environment that places you in any danger. So, which scenario you most closely align with will determine what your specific course of action should be, whatever it is, it should involve kindness and prayer for the other, but you should not allow yourself to be subjected to abuse. Hope this helps.

In order to be saved, I should go with the flow of the divine and Trinitarian love. And it's all found in what Jesus did and said. Did I correctly understood this? Please reply me.

      I believe you understood.
God IS love, 1 John 4:16
God calls us to love, John 13:34
He who loves is born of God and knows God, 1 John 4:7
To live a life of love, as Christ loved, IS to live in the Kingdom of God
To live a life of love, as Christ loved, IS Eternal Life
To live a life of love, as Christ loved, IS Salvation
Go therefore and love, as Christ loved
      Love God, Love Neighbor
Preach this Gospel everywhere you go
      When necessary, use words
      Love Defined (1 Cor 13:4-8)
      Love is patient
      Love is kind
      It does not envy
      It does not boast
      It is not proud
      It does not dishonor others
      It is not self seeking
      It is not easily angered
IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
