These guys have been exposed for faking things in the past, nothing can be trusted. 12:36 shows exactly that. It took me 2 guys breaking their backs for 3 days to dig a similarly sized hole. Looks like there are also lots of rocks which would make the soil stable but extremely difficult to dig,

It seems a bit.... not done yet. When he started working with the wood I thought he was building a mine cart rig to help him carry out more dirt and make the shelter bigger. Almost looks like that was the original idea but he decided that's way too much work. I mean, can't blame him.... So he made it into a tiny house with pull-out furniture instead. That's fine, but what bothers me is the unfinished roof and back wall. I wonder if there will be a continuation of this in future videos, I would like to see that. Make the shelter bigger, cart out dirt by larger amounts, and make a real finished inside and an awning over the front door to protect from rain and erosion. And of course a chimney to a big stove/oven.

But I like TH-cam videos like this, and the competition for the video creator is not his viewers, but the other similar TH-cam channels where they do similar things. One key point is the number of people on the team. Many of these shelter build videos are done with a big team of guys, and they only show 1-2 of them actually working on it in the video. If the guy in this video is doing it all by himself then that's noteworthy. And I suspect he is, because of the limited progress. This is a ton of work for a bunch of people, never mind only one person.

It would be a good idea to visit Asian countries to witness unbelievable things first-hand.

No fancy power tools just simple and effective construction methods with bare minimum hand tools. That is true craftsmanship, to say the least.
