The thing I just can't really wrap my head around is the fact that Wendy let herself get discovered and murdered
Why? She could've just concealed her identity and survive with Jennifer, her behaviour just doesn't make any sense to me, it completely feels outside of her character just to die off.
She didn’t hide her identity she did to fool Gregory into thinking she was someone else and then she felt bad because she put Jennifer through so much.
she´s a traumatized kid, of course her actions would be nonsensical at times for the subject of her obsession

The rope marks on Gregory's body looks to be from being tied to a chair. That can't be done by him yet I question it was Wendy who did that. I have a hard time imagining Wendy tying up Gregory to a chair with a rope.

Wendy pretended as Joshua.
Wendy was pretty much a pathological liar who pretended to be Joshua in order to get Jennifer to love her? So why did the man call her Joshua? Was he a figment of her imagination or something? Was this all a repressed memory that Teenage Jennifer was forcing herself to remember to get over it, and that's why she goes into the light?
Maygin Williams [contains spoilers] Jennifer's parents died in a zeppelin (Airship) crash when she was a child. Orphaned, she was kidnapped by Stray Dog (Gregory), as he had lost his own child, Joshua, to sickness and planned to raise her as his son. He cut off all her hair and made her into the image of Joshua, treating her like his son and telling her stories. Eventually, Jennifer came into contact with Wendy and began writing to her and they soon became close friends; Wendy falling in-love with Jennifer, who Wendy referred to as her prince. (Through their correspondence, Wendy knew all about the set-up Jennifer had; how Jennifer was forced to live as a boy, Gregory being grief-stricken and crazy, and etc). Soon after they became bffs, Jennifer mustered the courage to runaway to the orphanage where Wendy was, leaving Stray Dog to go truly insane because, to him, he'd now lost Joshua twice. Jennifer and Wendy started the Aristocrat Club together as prince and princess. One day, Jennifer found a puppy and named him Brown. She doted in him, loving him with all her heart. When she introduced Wendy to Brown, Wendy immediately grew jealous of him, thinking she was the only one Jennifer needed. Since Jennifer ultimately began to spend more time with Brown than Wendy, Wendy's jealous only worsened. And so begins the lies she spreads about Jennifer; to get back at her, Wendy turned the entire Aristocrat Club against Jennifer (and, in-turn, all the other kids at the orphanage.) Jennifer, for the most part, put up with all the torment, but one day, Wendy killed Brown; stuffed in a bag and beaten to a bloody pulp. Instead of breaking Jennifer, Brown's death made Jennifer realize how much of a fool she was for not standing up for herself in the first place, for not doing something before Brown got hurt. After, essentially, breaking up with Wendy, Jennifer quits the Aristocrat Club. The others, seeing what has happened and discovering that Wendy had been lying all along, rally behind Jennifer and elect her queen of the new Aristocrat Club. Wendy, shunned from her peers, began spreading the rumor about Stray Dog (as, at this point, he'd been kidnapping kids looking for Jennifer, who he still believed is Joshua.) One rainy day, Wendy (dressed as Joshua) lures Stray Dog to the orphanage. He murders everyone the headmaster, staff, and the children, but at one point Jennifer and Wendy are left alive together. Wendy confesses that everything was all her fault, but she did it because she loved Jennifer so much and didn't want to share her. Wendy is then taken and killed too. Before Stray Dog can kill Jennifer next, he recognizes her as his Joshua-replacement. Gregory comes back to his senses then, and horrified at what he'd done, kills himself, leaving Jennifer as the lone survivor of the massacre. Jennifer is adopted by a new family and suppresses the horrible memories of her childhood.
One night, however, the bus she's riding drives past the orphanage and Jennifer, triggered by the memory of it, goes back and relives her traumatic experiences. In the end, she decides that, no matter how dark the memories, she'll never forget them or Wendy or Brown or anyone else, ever again.

The part about Stray Dog is rather ucertain, in fact. In an old forum, which does not already exist, there was a dicussion about the orphanage massacre. After arguing a while everybody came to the conclusion that the dialogue between Wendy and Jennifer hadn't taken place at all. The arguments are that if Wendy wanted Gregory dead, she would have shot him herself without making Jennifer to do it, as she has experience in doing dirty things and would prefer have the plans done till the end. One of the versions of what happened really is that Wendy had actually run to the Gingerbread House after being demoted by Jennifer and had trained Gregory (we know it was true because of Martha's letters). But soon he went out of control and chased her to the orphanage, where she ran to warn the other children (this happens in the book about the Lying Princess. The books in Rule of Rose sometimes explain the plot, though in metaphorical way). Susan saw her (not dressed as Joshua, because then Susan would not have recognized her), and the Aristocrats ran to the yard to mock her (as they saw her slapped by Irritating Thief Jennifer and lost her proudness). But Stray Dog killed them all as he was completely insane. Than he saw Jennifer and thought she is Joshua. That's why he killed himself with a gun (which he probably found on the corpse of Wendy. Maybe she lost self-control and couldn't shoot him). Because of this events Jennifer's memory had been corrupted and she thought she saw things like in the game (so she thought up the dialogue with Wendy mourning about how she felt fault to find an excuse for Wendy for all that happened). This can be seen even from the voice acting. All the scenes with the Aristocrats and the other girls in this chapter are scurupulously voiced but Wendy is mute, we only see the subtitles. This shows Jennifer doesn't remember this scene exactly. This all is just a theory, of course.

Those are the forgotten memories of Jennifer that she tries to remember. Headmaster is right :)
Its her eliving her memories, at some poiint before the Aristocrats were formed the Headmaster and the lady cook were killed by the kids under the rule of Wendy

@@jeanvan4133 the kids of the orphanage were killed by the stray dog, the caretakers (outside of Jennifer's memories) actually abandoned the orphanage instead so by assumption they're still alive

Magdalena Rodriguez I wouldn't say good, as most of their stories are horrific. Especially the main four. I didn't like that you just see their clothes though. I guess because a bunch of dead children would have been too much with a game that already had so much controversy
