I definitely need to learn how to stop bc I just kissed the ground and injured myself, but it looks so easy when you do it I'm frustrated. Without you I wouldn't be on my wheels now keep going ;)

Super great video!! Extra cred to you for including the heel brake, it can be useful for beginners although I know it's not your favorite ;)
That twisting stop you do at 0:10 looks amazing btw!
My question for the Q&A: I notice in your videos that you keep the top strap pretty loose (looking at 2:41 for example, great shot :) ), is this so that you can get a larger range of motion with your leg? I thought that would result in a loose fit but maybe the toe strap and 45 degree strap is enough to keep it tight?

I'm glad you released another video! Thank you for the tutorial. This was very informative and easy to follow. I never thought about a reverse t-stop! Going to give that a go.
Keep up the videos, they are great.

This was one of the first inline skating vids that I watched when I first started skating a few years ago and it's crazy how grew from 500 subscribers.
Always show this to people (and a few of your other videos) when I want to show people how cool inline skating could be.

I actually T-stop better by sliding my dominant leg. I guess it has more to do with what you got used to first. Very good production btw :)

Chayka City Skater now try doing the t-stop with the other leg :3 you'll be able to do the t stop with both legs! how cool is that :3?

I'm making my fakie powerslide and simple powerslide with different legs, just because it is more comfortable for me to go backwards that way.

I can do the fakie powerslide with both legs, but not with the regular powerslide X) ...only with the dominant leg lol xD

Great video presentation and props to your camera friends. Like the OP if I ever did a T-stop I dragged my dominant right skate (I agree with the video it looks more like an L-stop). It puts more pressure on my back right dominant skate to slide into a stop faster with more authority/confidence in my head. But that move tears up wheels outdoors if you do it too much on rough parking lot cement. Not too bad on blacktop asphalt. Somehow I can put more pressure on my weaker left side thigh when I do a T-stop like that and feel more solid & stable. But I played roller hockey for 15 yrs. and haven't rollerbladed outdoors in a quite a while. so I'd have to think about it. the best stop is the one where muscle memory kicks in and you don't have to think about it lol.

I noticed after a while that when I don't meet peoples stares, aka I don't look them in the eyes, but rather consider them just "obstacles" on the road, the awkward-ness didn't disturb me nearly as much :) I still hate the feeling of losing the balance while there are people around but that's the way I deal with it mostly.
It''s nice to practice in a non-crowded area, but that's not always possible depending on where you live.
I've been skating for 6 months now and it's getting less awkward each skate session! Most of all it's just so d*mn fun... :)

To learn the T brake it's very useful to do balance on one leg and then put the leg on the floor very gently, just to get used to the position.
I'm waiting for the next tutorial, maybe tips for skating on the street? I think most people (me included) are afraid to skate on the street because of the cars, the people, ... and I know you skate so well on the street :)

Hi, I'm living in France for 5 years already (university... actually engineering school), but I come from Republic of Moldova. Believe me, you have a very good accent for a French. The average (in terms of level of English) French people have a very strong accent. I can be difficult to understand usually if you are not really used. That may be also because I live in Lyon (I find that in Cote d'Azur they have a better English accent :D)
Anyway, just began skating and trying to see tips and exercices to practice. Subscribed.

Hi Tiago, I have subscribed to your channel because I purely love your clips, they're funny as well as educational! I'm picking up some tips as a new skater, I'm an older type skater, 48yrs old to be exact & have been skating for about a month so finding it all a bit daunting but picking up loads! I get a bit frustrated sometimes as just want to do it & make it look so easy as you do but try to focus on what I've done in a month so far ...... Others say it will come, everything will just click into place ..... How long have you been skating, is there any extra tips you can pass on?! ..... Please keep the clips coming! Thank you from South Wales, UK!! 😁👌

Salut Tiago. Quel chemin parcouru depuis !

2:37, when u do the stop your inner (left) skate, do you kind of very slightly lift front wheel up/using no weight on it and then turn the skate 180 degree backwards, or how do you split the weight on left skate to do it? is it like you turn by mostly front of skate and set weight for stability on back wheels?

French accent, humour, and face. That's what I think make you both the same. Different is he plays CSGO. Are you a gamer btw? No? Maybe not.
