Very helpful, thank you! Making a dragon hoard for my players and this is just what I needed

That's awesome! I'm glad it came in handy, and best of luck to your players getting that treasure!!

A nice build, I'd be tempted to put a wash over it to make the individual coins stand out. I'll have a go at making one in a few weeks.
By way of advice, you waved about he stuff you were showing us and I found it hard to see one of the items and it was generally distracting.

Careful trying it with a wash, you may darken /dull the shine of the coins! You can definitely do it but it should be in targeted areas so you don't dull down the overall appeal.
As far as waving things around, you're absolutely right haha, sorry about that, I'm getting better about it, i'm just normally super animated when I do things and I realize that can be quite difficult for viewers to see what I'm showing them. I've been working on improving that!

What about aluminum foil in place of the foam? Its naturally shiny and with a clear coat of mod Podge on top of it....

oh that would be interesting to test out as well. I might have to do some updated experimenting and see how it comes out!

This is a great tutorial, but why the obnoxious music in the background?

Hey Ethyn, Thanks for the feedback! I had wondered if it came across as "too loud" having background ambient music--should have phased it down to muted :) Experimenting a bit to make the videos a bit more fun to listen to! I'll adjust that better next time so it's not distracting :) Thank you for watching!
