    Great store, Tim has given me countless advice and is always happy to do so. Its an hour's drive from my house, but always worth the drive

    nail art gems work amazing as well! They are fairly cheap on amazon for a big package I use them on my dragon nightlights I make.

    For painting the wood, instead of varnish, you can use shoe polish, or shoe wax. Super cheap, easy to apply, different colors and looks great.

      great tip!

      You might have adhesion issues depending on what you want to stick on top of it. Oil vs water based paints and adhesives.

      @@paigephillips92 True, you would want to test if you plan on mixing mediums. But, many shoe polishes are waxed based, so it's like a sealer, too. If you just want cheap and quick, though, shoe polish is the way to go. My dad taught me that trick years ago. He fixed a wooden Viking statue I had found at a garage sale. Whittled a new greatsword out of an old mixing stick, and then used shoe polish to color it. Looked fantastic!

    I got some good ideas from your video and other videos doing similar scatter terrain. This video being the simplest and probably the easiest one of them all. Seeing you're using basic items and nothing expensive or over complicated.
    Like I don't have the time, space, or money to buy XPS foam, a hot tire table, clay carving tools, 28mm heroics realistic gold bits just to make a few loot chest or gold piles.

    Where did you find some of the plastic 'bits' in your bits box? Do you have any stores you recommend to find what looks like dnd garage kits?

    What kind of 5 minute epoxy resin do you use?

  • @verrezen
    @verrezen ปีที่แล้ว

    Why the bases. Couldn’t you make them without? The epoxy/glue should be strong enough and make them look less boardgamy. No?
