- Maiden voyage on July 5th with the 91' Kawasaki Jet Mate jet ski or jet boat, or hot tub or bathtub or whatever you want to call it. I swapped in a 750 in place of the stock 650 engine.

Nice video, awesome family. I just blew up my Jet Mate motor and am looking at a 750 small pin… the seller of the motor has ssxi and zxi e-boxes, should I go for one vs the other?
Thanks for the comment! I would recommend the ssxi box just because it is smaller and easier to fit. Good luck on the swap! I just crawled underneath this jetmate yesterday to look at the impeller and this one was completely shot, like it had been run through a gravel pit. So i'm looking forward to getting my 10-18 installed and see what it can really do!

What impeller are you running
This video it still had the stock impeller. I have a 10-18 skat trak i need to install. I have a 9-17 in my 750 sport cruiser as well, that may make its way into the jetmate and the 10-18 in the SC....
@@NealORussa makes sense a solas 13-18 also seems like it would be a good prop for that thing to. Or an old school single pitch skat

@@NealORussa I’m currently swapping a 750 ssxi motor into a 650sx hull right now. Did you keep the 650 electrical also what carb setup are you running?
@@MrAnythinggood no you need to run the 750 electronics. If you want to run 650 ebox you have to remove the 650 stator and modify the 750 stator housing to accept the 650 stator. Best route is to use the 750 electronics completely. You really can get rid of all the wiring from the 750 box except for the 4 wire plug to the start/stop switch and the stator wires. Everything else can be cut off and capped or removed the plugs from the ebox and seal them up.
