    I bought one of these kits I was blown away how accurately they matched the stock curves and bend. 100% worth the money

    many years ago I lengthened the frame front clip 2 inches to simply get the front wheels in the middle of the wheel well when lowered and remounted the control arms

    I'll be taking a 114.6 inch wheelbase 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis and extending it to 117 inches. I'm building my dream car, a 1969 dodge charger, but it'll be a 69 charger with air bags, AC, Bluetooth, LED headlights and tail lights, dome lights etc. And a CB radio too.

      If it helps, the Lincoln town car of the same generation is 117 inches already. But that’s awesome, hope the build goes well!!!!

    Without jacking it to the sky, what would be the most practical 4x4 frame/running gear to convert a '72 El Camino to 4x4?

    I wonder if there is anyone who has used this on 71-73 Ford Pintos or even the 74-80 models. Obviously for V8 Conversions, and the ability to have better performing suspension components to choose from.
    I’m looking into this, since the track with is within a half inch of the Pinto.

    What should the wheel base be for a Long bed 54?

    • @lammoncustoms638
      @lammoncustoms638 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Factory WB was 125 1/4 inches on a 54 Chevy LWB. So you want your donor chassis to be similar. Usually with these AD trucks you can add about an inch and it actually centers the rear wheel better in the fender opening. So you could go 126 1/4 inches and be fine or round it down to 126 inches.

    • @Borderline5440
      @Borderline5440 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. To my knowledge, first gen S10s only have a VIN tag and a door tag (which is usually gone or illegible).

    I prefer go to the junkyard cut a frame from longer wheelbase and weld it right back in the factory joint the length you desire..Thats alot of needless work when you can do it and it will look and be same as a factory frame. But I guess that video comes later.what do I know.. I done many of them and you cant tell where it was even touched.. With no.braces..

    That's kinda stupid when if you have a short wheelbase S-10 Truck and you want to extend it out , just get a regular size S-10 Frame , it's already longer and in one complete piece , No cutting or welding required
