Thanks a lot for yet another inspiring and insightful talk. I especially appreciate how Ajahn apologizes to the dogs when he uses the idiom "it's going to the dogs." That shows his great awareness and compassion, even in his speech.
Favorite quote from this talk by Ajahn Brahmali (around 14 minutes) : "You ask people, "Why do you meditate?" And people say: "I want to meditate to become a better [person], a better worker." [...] But that's kind of getting your priorities wrong. [...] The priority should be the exact opposite. You actually do not do your meditation to do all of these things better. You do all these other things in such a way as to enhance your meditation practice. So you live your life with a Buddhist attitude." This really blew my mind. Makes so much sense.
