  • A tool to help teachers, children, parents, care givers and/or anyone who is interested in understanding the simplicity yet complexity of the autism spectrum
My experience at school was traumatic. I was prone to alot of accidents. I was mostly non verbal unless I had very easy to understand instructions and knew exactly what I was doing in a comfortable environment. I'd say that about 80% of my experiences at school were detrimental to my health. Class rooms were too bright, too noisy, too busy with too many pictures and colours on the wall. Too many transitions and changes. Afraid to ask if I could use the toilet, too much time and energy spent on trying to contain myself. Being as these years of a life are the most important ones when it comes to brain development schools need to learn about autism from the inside which means listening to autistic adults who have been through the experience and are on their healing journeys with an intent to help the next generations for a more harmonious society. We are not a jigsaw piece. There is no mystery. Feel free to contact me on AnimistArt4@gmail.com

Thank you for this visual presentation on emotional regulation. The schools in Hampshire found it greatly informative in the Senco's meeting Oct 2024 and really appreciate it.

@@JenOwen-j5d Your so welcome. I was honoured to be asked and I learned alot also. It has inspired me massively to use the lessons to create more teaching tools to help others. Thank you and I look forward to more opportunities in the future 😊🙏

It is about all aspects of the spectrum depending on how we use the chart. There are hundreds of 10 minute videos within this chart. Sensory overload being an obvious one as that links in with the emotional dysregulation aspect which affects everything else from executive functioning to social and communication, perceptions etc. I can't wait to elaborate based on unique individual experiences. 💛
