I couldn't work out whether to use the English or the Japanese title of this anime, then I realised that "Summer Time Render" and "Summer Time Rendering" sound equally as awful so I stopped caring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The name of the show actually already told you what the show will be about. The Japanese name of this show is "Summertime Render" and "RENDER" can also be the pun for "連打" which means to repeat. So this is the show of "Repeating" the "Summertime"

repeating summer gives me flashbacks to endless 8 arch in "disappearance of haruhi suzumiya". And if where talking about fans falling off and hating a show. that arc can be blamed. So maybe the translators thought "fuck. lets not let them associate this with that."
The easiest way I've found to recommend it was to say that "Its like RE:ZERO but if Subaru wasn't an insufferable idiot" gets the gist of it being a time loop thriller across very quickly
As for a game that broke the fatigue for me: Ratchet and Clank Rifts apart just came to PC. And oh my god I love video games. Also I may actively simp for rivet. Maybe.

Oh man Dark Souls 1 is really a masterpiece. Funny thing that it had the opposite effect on me. Since I played DS I could not play anything AAA anymore, DS ruined those games so hard for me that I was basicly stuck with indy games or anything fromsoft made
