Laurence is an enigma! Very rare to find a bassist with not only Laurence's chops and skill on the instrument but also an amazing arranger & I can only wonder at his harmonic knowledge
I was at this gig from 2017,the first time of many that I’ve been to at Ronnie Scott’s. I’ve since had the privilege to get to see Dave Weckl there on several occasions and got to meet him after one of the gigs, I also got to see him with Chick Corea back in 2017,and I’ve been honoured to see other music legends there,such as Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Billy Cobham, Tom Kennedy, Mike Stern, David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, and Steve Gadd among many others🙂👍
Buddy’s final lead trumpet player ( and college pal) Eric Miyashiro absolutely pinning the whole shout chorus… at light speed. He’s just ridiculous.
