Ironically, the full-scale Draco got destroyed by crosswinds.
You can get the per cell voltage from the gen 1 spektrum batteries also.

The full scale plane crashed and was totaled in a wind storm, while trying to take off. What made the full size cool was that it was super over powered for a bush plane.

Which plane do you prefer to fly between this one and the Eflite Air Tractor? Which one is quicker?
The air tractor is faster and more manoeuvrable Draco is more scale

Just picked up my Draco today. After weeks of hunting down RC shops around the country everyone was out of stock. It looked like I'd have to wait weeks or even months. Not until I looked around my own area Atlanta GA and found it available actually several in stock. Can't wait to get this one in the air.

Excellent video Rich, I have the Origin Wilga 2000, And is a excellent flier in 50'', And this one looks and performs Awesome, But I must agree with Radio Flite RC Planes comment about the price point reaching the limit for many pilots, But Yes it is a cool plane, Best plane I think Horizon has put out in quite a while, It has some very good features, such as the top loading battery hatch, My Origin does not, My Wilga flies on a 3S battery loaded on the underside, Which to me has always been a lame issue. I really don't care about all the lights, I am an old guy, And fly during morning to afternoon hours, Can I afford this plane ? Yes, Will I buy it ? I don't know, But if anyone does a good video on this plane YOU Sure Did! Thank you! And stay safe!
Put dubro tires on acts like true shock absorber low inflation good on hard runway
Those work well. I find the stock tires to be good on grass, just not great on pavement.
I am so looking forward to mine coming in . Due in sometime in May. So Cool. Reminds me of my Turbo Timber or My Night Timber. Off the ground in less that a Foot and Very short landing.

Watching as many of the Draco vids as I can... RCInformer hands down has the best display of the STOL features of this model. To tell the truth I haven't seen a Draco vid I didn't like so far.... Of course once us Joe Six Pack guys get a hold of this there will be some "interesting" vids... But really liking everything I have seen so far. One consistent feature of these vids is a LOT of laughing, giggling, and "Oh Wow's" o_c

You said you don't see the point in the reverse thrust the point is not that it's needed the point is the real turbine and the real Draco have it for stall competition.
It's just for people to play with it's not needed that's not why it was put on the airplane.
If that was true with my turbines I fly I'd have reversed Thrust on my jets they need it!!

You couldn't get battery voltage via telemetry on the TX with that first battery? I can get that on my DX9 even with dumb non-Spektrum batteries. Total pack voltage, but not individual cell voltages, which is good enough to see capacity remaining.

Hi Rich, can you tell me please about your high rates on ailerons, do you have them just 100% or maybe higher? I know that I can't program out differential as only using stock receiver so ailerons on one channel but regards your inverted aerobatic flying apart from down elevator any tips? I've put a mix to take out the aileron to rudder mix on high rates but it still rolls slow. I know it's not that kind of flyer but anything I can do that might help this would be appreciated
I set mine up exactly the way the book says to. I don't really fly it inverted, I only do that for demonstration purposes, it's not comfortable to fly it inverted. It rolls teallt slow, not much can be done to make it roll faster.

Honestly the avios Tundra, will outperform this plane I half the price, people are paying lots of money for looks, and is ok. Beautiful plane, but too expensive for foam.

I think The price is way high.
It is a red foam airplane, has a reversible esc..okay, that was fun for five minutes 🙄 people flew em and sold em a week latter like a bunny the week after Easter. Then the guys that bought them for full sticker , and did there best to flip them.. and now there stuck with them or sold them for less than they paid.
$600.00 and add in several batteries... that's hard to justify for many foam pilots.
But....I smell a smaller version coming soon.

I smell price reduction soon. Once the hype fizzles out this will be 1 to 2 hundred less. Maybe a year from now or so.
@@goopman5627 knowing horizon they will discontinue it for six months then bring it back with a bunch of hype , a new esc and some scale sticker or some other bs.
$630 may seem expensive. But you get a giant scale two meter wingspan model that lacks zero detail from the full scale. Based on what features the Draco possess. It is worth every penny.😉

This looks like a loud and annoying all-american sales pitch. Which most likely it is.
They need to do something different than .. just another high wing !
How about the E-flite Fw 190A 1.5m we released a few months ago? Or the UMX A-10 we released just before this? And what about the 80mm EDF fighter we'll be announcing next week? We release about two dozen new models each year...everything from ultra micro to giant scale, including trainers and high-wing STOL models, to low-wing warbirds and high-performance EDFs. Not every release of ours is "just another high wing"!

Horizon, don't get so uptight, is just his opinion and your lack of temper response does not help bring more customers.
Reverse thrust in a prop is extremely effective. Reverse in a EDF does little except really draw alot of an already drained battery. Of the EDFs I've had with a Reverse feature, I can say they do little to slow the plane. That's not salty, just fact:)
Flaps are used to reconfigure the wing so it is capable of flying slower & to lower the planes nose so the pilot can see better during landing.
Keep in mind. The Draco is not “just another high wing model”. It’s the most scale model airplane ever designed, because it was 3D scanned off the one-of-a-kind full scale Draco. Besides the Draco outsells most of Horizon’s other models.

Agree. $399 would be more in line. FMS Beaver which is comparable airframe has better components, honestly seems better built and is 200 bucks less then this one.
