The reason for the extra pay is because of California final pay laws. They paid you suspension pay for the time it took to process your termination. For attendance, you should be able to re-apply after 5 years. It used to be shorter but it was recently updated.

I started working as an amazon fresh bagger about 2 months ago and my UPH is shit, but I just watched your video on how to increase it and will apply those techniques in a couple hours for a 4 am shift haha. The main thing that bothers me though is that those with a high UPH always give me condescending looks but I can't really help it since I work at most 8 hours per week since I'm a full time nursing student. I'm also always very tired when I do work the minimum 1 shift per week so that sucks..

I've been eligible to collect UI before three times in my lifetime just by applying and have taken advantage of some of the state's unemployment programs like tuition waivers for going back to school, grant money for training certifications, and receiving additional benefits while in training. But I'm not sure why you'd want to do something like this as a retired millionaire as you don't really need it whatsoever?
Companies really don't want to get sued or have to pay unemployment. The best thing for them is for you to formally resign and give them your 2 weeks notice.
I heard that managers start at 65k in my city and routinely work 50 hours a week. But what I always thought was interesting is you could just work overtime as a regular employee and at 26 hours of overtime a week you would make more than your manager. That might be insane or unhealthy but there are people that have done it. So when you look at the fact that they employ millions of people, statistically there are probably several homeless crack addict warehouse workers that are making more money than fresh Ivy League graduate Amazon managers.

Or because college is not free and what you spent is convertible into hours working at Amazon you could look at it as 130 hrs vs 66 hrs. With college breaks lets say its actually 3 years. So if you plan on being an entrepreneur and you don't need crazy amounts to start a business it is a no brainer to just be an employee.
i got hired (a year ago) at "Peak Pay" season; it was $21 an hour but went back to $18 at the end of January ... AND this year they didn't pay us Peak Pay. Peak Pay SHOULD be our minimum pay, Cali is EXPENSIVE! lol.
