Great to see Hollow Knight here! Just to clear things up with you, Hornet is the name of a boss/reoccurring character who is actually based off of a spider oddly enough.
A wyrm-spider hybrid raised by bees and is called hornet

Christopher Larkin is a genius. The Hollow Knight OST is one of the best of all time. Hollow Knight isn't scary, though it has horrific things in it, the game is an action adventure that revolves around exploring the tragically ruined kingdom of Hallownest. The atmosphere is melancholy throughout.
Hollow Knight as a whole isn’t scary.

I love this song, it's brilliant! That's the theme for a rather graceful character that fights using needle and threads. So, the song is played exclusively on string instruments.
The composer of all the soundtrack of Hollow Knight is Christopher Larkin.

Hey there Uncle Jesse. "Hollow Knight Rules" Yes. Yes it does. Tremendously. It is one one the BEST MetroidVania games out there. Also, it has one amazing soundtrack to boot. Here´s some Hollow Knight OST sugestions:
- Mantis Lords followed by Sisters of Battle;
- Greenpath;
- White Palace;
- Sealed Vessel. These are my personal Hollow Knight music pieces. They are so well done and fit appropriately to the levels and the characters. Christopher Larkin did such an phenomenal job with the score in this game. Can´t wait to see what Team Cherry and will do with Hollow Knight Silk Song level design and gameplay and what beautiful, melancholic and epic music Christopher Larkin will create. Glad you liked it! "Daughter of Hallownest" is another theme that is Hornet but with additions. And as a suggestion of music of the same game I suggest "Mantis Lord" followed immediately by "Sisters of Battle". Hollow Knight is a game more of less in the vein of Soulborne games: Dying kingdom, a handful of interesting NPCs and death in every corner
The key difference between a violin and a fiddle is that the former has strings and the latter has strangs.
Also, if you like this, you'll really like The Mantis Lords from Hollow Knight.

Hollow Knight is a game who's Soundtrack alone is art, and combined with the game it makes it a truly novel experience for almost everyone who enjoys metroidvania's and even those that don't.
All string instruments... I didn't quite notice until you pointed it out. And honestly, considering the character this song is for, it makes way too much sense.

Love Hollow Knight, one of my favorite games to come out this decade. Fantastic art, great challenge, and an incredibly dense world with secrets around every corner. The music is of course phenomenal. The game's ability to switch from genuinely peaceful tracks, unsettling ambience, and fast paced orchestral works for battles is something else.
Never realized I needed a bug-themed Metroidvania, but here we are.
Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games ever and I think it has one of the best ambient soundtracks in any game. I would love to recommend some tracks but I feel like spoiling it if you’re ever going to play the game (unless you don’t care about that). It has a strong vibe :D

Hollow Knight has pretty much always been really popular since it came out but the reason it comes up a lot more lately is because the sequel, silksong (and most of that is people just being desperate for news of the game, it's been ages lol)
Btw, idk if you've reacted to this one already but Dark souls 3 Soul of cinder is a great track I think you'd enjoy

Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games. Beating the True Final Boss at the end of the final boss rush is still one of my favorite gaming accomplishments. If you’re looking for more, some of my favorite Hollow Knight songs are The Grimm Troupe -> Nightmare King Grimm, Mantis Lords, Sealed Vessel, and Broken Vessel. Sealed Vessel has two phases, one faster, one slower, so it’d probably be a change of pace on your channel.
Also, a game whose OST has blown me away is NEO The World Ends With You. Your Ocean, Bird in the Hand, Transformation (NEO mix), Breaking Free and Insomnia are all amazing. I’m not in a good position to Patreon now, but if you’d be interested I’d love that.

I know I'm late to the party, but I'd love to see you react to "The Grimm Troupe" and "The Nightmare King," which are the theme and a variation on that theme for a particularly awesome boss fight released in DLC for the game. Christopher Larkin is so goddamn good.

It is a wonderful song that really fits the place it's from. A horrible place of ambition, science and atrocities performed in the name of desperation, survival, and greed. I could not suggest it more! Plus if you like... What are they called, church organs? Big piano-looking tooty boys. Then you're going to love this song.

Hollow knight has an absolutely amazing soundtrack. Mantis lords, city of tears, greenpath, nightmare king grim, just so many bangers all of them deserve a listen.
Hollow Knight's music is some of my favourite vgm. It's just incredible honestly.
Personal favourites are:

If you want another track like this where it is purely a string quartet/quintet going crazy (and somehow creating their own brand of percussion), then Lace from the upcoming sequel Silksong is what you're looking for. And, unlike this game which only had the means to use music programs for the music, the Lace battle theme is a string quintet recorded live by brilliant musicians. Lace is a short track like this one, but it's got a lot of flair and entrancing rhythms

If in need of other Hollow Knight OST tracks to react to here are my favorites : "Reflection", "Dirtmouth", "Greenpath", "Fungal Wastes", "Mantis Lords", "Nosk", "Sealed Vessel" and a special one from the dlc : "The Grimm Troupe". Hollow Knight is worth is just for the soundtrack alone. I recommend listening to The Grimm Troupe/Nightmare King Grimm, City of Tears, or Mantis Lords.
I would absolutely recommend the entire soundtrack for this game, frankly. But there are some specific standouts that I know work better for reaction videos specifically, and I definitely hope they get requested!

I think from hollow knight : seled vessel , radiance , nightmare king , dauther of hollownest are the most powerfull. Also pure vessel is a quiet but dark one that stick with me .
Beyond that Truth, Beauty and Hatred is more a traveling theme but still has a nice tempo going on.
And mantis lords is the most castlevania i have seen since bloodstained.

But it's appropriate for a half-spider character to be represented by an heavily string based piece. Hollow Knight is an amazing game, and one of those rare few instances in media where the music not only accents an experience but amplifies it. More than half the heart of this game is in its song, and deservedly so.
PLEASE react to Broken Vessel. I think it's such an underappreciated theme, and it's so hard to find people who have reacted to it

Hollow Knight is a darkly elegant and often depressing game about a world of insects that is slowly fading away. It's often compared to Dark Souls in the sense that they share a very similar tone, although Hollow Knight is a classic action-platformer and Dark Souls is very much not.
