  • Wondering when GM, Volvo, and Polestar can join Tesla's Supercharger party. Plus, the Cybertruck recall and there is now one DCFC station per 15 gas stations in the US.

My Volvo car app got an update for charging that I suspect is groundwork for the SC access upcoming, but no word yet. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching.

Here’s my guess on supercharger access as a Bolt EUV owner: GM is probably going with a third party adapter, either A2z or Lectron. They aren’t going to sell them until the UL certification process is complete. So it’s out of the automakers hands for now

Agreed. Tesla’s adapter vendor is not particularly fast at ramping production to get these things out the door. We’ll need to see the 3pty adapters get certified. Lectron had QC problems with theirs.
My money is on Volvo/Polestar having access before GM.

Tritium going insolvent this week is a big deal. They have contracts for equipment that will be hard pressed to deliver on. The chargers in the ground already are garbage (see West Coast Electric Highway run by EVCS). I can’t believe EVCS won millions in contracts to build more stations.
