With the new Biden EPA final rule on automobile emissions, EVs will be the only viable option. Tesla is poised to take advantage of the upcoming forced switch from ICE. The Model Y is family friendly and the upcoming low cost sedan will be a great option for younger people.

Tesla stock will go into the low 100s. It has nothing to stand on right now other than a pipe dream of an auto taxi service that can't happen without FSD. So, the stock is simply riding on the word of a man who talks out of his ass all the time. The cyber truck by any business standard is a failure. China will eventually break into the US market with its EVs which will obliterate TESLA in price, and in quality. TESLA has a lot of work to do if they want to remain relevant. Their robots are inferior to OpenAI, and Boston Dynamics. Their AI is inferior as well. Their data they have for full self-driving won't even be valuable once AGI is more prevalent. Is it the end for TESLA, not yet, but if they don't do something innovative soon, yeah it will be.

Guidance was very good. Plans for short, medium, and long term. (Randy Kirk & Jeff Lutz) Market up. CyberTruck is a technology demonstrator vehicle. They stuffed if full of tech they want to use in high volume production vehicles on down the road. Initial expectations were not for high volumes. Need to see what the take rate is on reservations after they stop making Foundations series trucks in 2025. The human brain is wired to like what we are used to seeing. It is easy/comfortable. That does not mean what we are used to seeing is better. It means we are used to it. If we were used to angular vehicles CyberTruck would be another truck. What we like is highly subjective. Tesla bought a lot of NVIDA units for training. Yes they need data. I expect Tesla to start with drivers in the Robo Taxi until they get to where drivers are redundant. Expect regulators to require them.

My Volvo car app got an update for charging that I suspect is groundwork for the SC access upcoming, but no word yet. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching.

Tritium going insolvent this week is a big deal. They have contracts for equipment that will be hard pressed to deliver on. The chargers in the ground already are garbage (see West Coast Electric Highway run by EVCS). I can’t believe EVCS won millions in contracts to build more stations.

Here’s my guess on supercharger access as a Bolt EUV owner: GM is probably going with a third party adapter, either A2z or Lectron. They aren’t going to sell them until the UL certification process is complete. So it’s out of the automakers hands for now

The anti Tesla crowd is BBQing Tesla for many of the very problems that exists over at legacy, Legacy knows it is easier to keep people in the dark than get called out for being late as every reason will be seen as an excuse.

I’ve set up my iPhone as a key for my polestar 2 and it’s all working well so far. I’m just too scared of going far though just in case it doesn’t work 😅😅😅

And who pays you for this?

We have leased one and should get it mid june. We have a Volvo C40 leased. Also a great car, but Polestar drives better and have much better range.

Can you let us know later what the differences on 2025 Rivian model coming in Fall vs 2024?

Why spend so much money on a hyped up Truck.Unefficent also.I would go for Polestar3 or Polestar4.The Polestar3 is awsome.Ive test ride it Torque vectoring etc..SUV & Sports car in one vehicle.

I give it 5 years before there’s a convergence of really compelling EVs at affordable prices plus very good charging infrastructure that will be impossible to overcome. America may put up trade barriers to keep Chinese EVs out but it’s a speed bump at most. If American politicians actively work to punitively inhibit EV adoption, then Detroit automakers will become increasingly irrelevant and the Chinese will simply take over the global entry level auto market.

The trouble with Polestar in Oz that it has competition of BYD. Entry level luxury car for both brands are nice. Polestar2 $75kAUD Seal $50kAUD Re level 2 charging - yes we could do of more of these. Alot less to setup so should be able to get cheaper charging compared to DC. I still have to wait thou for anything to get shipped in. One month (day, year, fortnight) I'll be ok.

Does it have a snow mode ?

Lots of focus on the "charging network", but the EV curious should know that the bulk of charging should be done at home. Condo/apartment dwellers without that option are probably not a good fit, and public DC charging rates may already be exceeding the cost of gas. This is about longer trips, and even for EVs that fast charge as slow as my Bolt, a welcome thing. Tesla has built out the network and kept it running. But now they need to make it pay. As for Chinese options, how would you have felt about your cheap Lada when Putin rolled into Ukraine? Xi seems to covet Taiwan at least as much. Customer support may survive sanctions, but will you be proud to be seen in one? See Yugo.

The new Charger looks sick! It’ll be cool seeing this in both gas and electric powertrain configurations. People will be able to cross shop and compare them directly with each other. When the Hellcat and Demon versions with 800v get unleashed, we’ll see some crazy numbers.

Ev's aren't up to the sports car standard. No manual interaction, heavy, and lack of in most cases any personality.

I can't afford the AWD Seal that does zts 3.8s (about U$47k) but i can afford the BYD Dynamic Seal (zts 7.5s) about U$34k. I'm also putting solar panels on my roof about $6k to produce about 15MWh per year (about 6 weeks till installation). How much would those Dodge be? EV EV baby. Vanilla EV baby. PS the sweet spot for me would be the Premium Seal (zts 5.9s with range of 330 miles). It's about $40k but I'd need a job pdq.

Glad to see you are enthused about the charger. I sincerely hope that Dodge/Stallantis put their A team to work on this car. The CG is naturally low so with a good suspension it could be a great handling car. My fear is that we will get another effort like the mustang mach e.

Apple won't buy any car company because vehicle manufacturing won't produce the desired margins. Titan failed because they realized autonomous driving is far more difficult than initially realized. Wheels, batteries, fabricating panels, electric motors, paint jobs...all too commoditized for their liking. Fisker...dead man walking. Nice design but terrible reviews. $400 million reportedly from Nissan will be a breath of fresh air, but just a breath.

The GM will get the adapter first and I was wondering what they were going to do to keep me from using my GM adapter with my other car, or other people from just going onto the Ford parts site and getting them one to use. Hey Ted! Fords have been getting software updates to enable charging on Superchargers. I bet Volvo and Polestar aren’t far behind. Once your Polestar 2 gets an Tesla-specific update, that’ll be the real test to see if the A2Z adapter works. Alternatively, find a friend with a Lightning or Mach-E who got the software update and visit the Supercharger with your adapter.

Tesla confirmed that GM, Volvo/Polestar, and Rivian are next and will have access this spring. But until then, No. Tesla is an energy company first, and technology second, (vehicles are actually third) so they're not going to be fooled.

Your non Tesla J3400 adapter has been officially prohibited by Tesla. Wait for the official Polestar device.

It sounded like the BOD OKed putting the design into production. It might require rengineering the car to get the upgrades the CT has. Could be they still have the cold gas thrusters to work on. If it gets steer by wire it should be getting 48V. Just have to see.
