Hi UltraTec, have you touched on making a High School Education Plan in a video? If not, would you consider making a video about it? It would be greatly appreciated.
I was just thinking about doing one for this exact topic lol. How'd you read my mind? We recently had to go over the plans for our kids and I was thinking others could benefit from a guide.
@@umbraphoenix08 I'll try to take care of it this weekend. Is there something specific you want to see? Or just a generic guide on how to choose classes that will get you to graduate.
@UltratecJS I think a general guide would help a lot. Maybe how to set it up, and I am not sure if you can touch on it, but for some, it might be helpful if you could cover both graduation paths.
Great videos! We are considering moving internationally and we are looking for an online school for our 6th and 10th grade kids. We are very nervous to say the least about the education they will receive. With the new update to gold would you say the teacher response is better or the same taking a few days to respond? It is so important to us that they receive a diploma from the USA. Being accredited is a huge plus for us.
@biggtoria5031 My apologies on the late response, I thought I responded! I think the teacher response time is similar to before. They do offer a higher priced membership switch faster response times, so that might be worth checking out.
Hi! Thank you so much for all of your AA videos! They have helped me so much. Question: Do you feel the Writing Tutor is good? I’m wondering if it’s the same as the one Acellus uses in Power Homeschool. The parents have said it’s pretty much a joke. TIA!
It depends on how it is used. If parents also read the papers and require them to write relevant things, it is quite good. The problem is it grades their spelling, vocabulary level, sentence structure, etc, but they don't have to stay on topic. They could write something irrelevant, as long as they write it with correct grammar and challenging vocabulary, it will grade them well. I just read their papers as well, to make sure they addressed the prompt.
I have been watching your videos so much lately, I appreciate all of the info you give. I plan to do the Roger Billings scholarship. However, I cannot attend it live, also I will have 2 students. Can they watch it on a separate day? Also, how would they both watch it at the same time but it read that they both watched it? I have not paid yet and sadly; they do not have a free trial to look into all of that.
It's my pleasure, I'm glad you like the videos. You do not have to watch the feed live, you will have time until the day before the next Wednesday passes. The students get credit by typing in their comment along with their student ID. The way I did a trial was by paying one month with a burner email address so the students could try it out for a month. After they tested it out and liked it, we emailed Acellus to give us a refund and they did without questioning us. Once we were ready, we signed up again with our real email address.
@@UltratecJS Thank you, that is a great idea! Thank you for further explaining. Also, do the activities/additional things like gold, are those offered to those who pay for the Basic Plan? Or is that for the enhanced plan with the social part of it? I see some features that I love but I am not sure what all I get as far as gold, activities, library, etc with the basic plan.
Hi 👋 just signed up my son today in 7th grade in Acellus. I pulled him out from private school. I just need help with setting up the daily steps. Mon thru Friday. It generated steps but not sure if i can adjust them, some have more steps than others. I definitely want to finish the year by May. If you can help thank you!!
@nancyramirez_texas8671 I replied to you yesterday but not sure why the response didn't save. I have a video that talks about this exact topic, it's called Acellus Academy Most Efficient Scheduling. Check it out and let me know if you still have questions.
You probably know by now that PHS has all of the acellus updates, there are some differences, but for the most part, it's the same learning material. My younger daughter, 7th grade, is using the new undated version of PHS and my 9th grader is in Acellus.
For us, it was automatically applied without having to do anything. If you use the app, I would update to the latest version. If that fails, I would reach out to Acellus so they can enable it from their end.
Interesting, they must have done an update because in all of my daughters classes (9th grade) she can do 40 steps a week, but for her, 15 to 20 steps a week per class is best..
From what I am reading from other parents, there is not one complaint from kids not being accepted into colleges. If you join the Acellus parents group in Facebook you can read all the success stories. That's why I chose Acellus over Power since Acellus gives accredited degrees.
If you understand the concept well in a subject will it skip you a couple of steps ahead or will you have to continue doing the steps even though you already know the concept.
I don't think there's a way to skip ahead based on a pre-test but if you already know it, you should be able to breeze through the material. You should also reach out to Acellus directly so they can confirm this.
I live in the state of New York , my son doesn’t want to go to the high school , he gets overwhelmed amd anxious and he just don’t want to go to school today environment anymore . So I’m thinking to pull him out of public school for homeschool. Your videos are so helpful
@@NancyRamos-e9e This sounds like a perfect for scenario for Acellus. Doing the best for our kids is essential in today's crazy world, we have to listen to their concerns. I wish you and your family the best of luck. If you guys ever need someone to talk to I'm here.

power home school has any updates?
I'm not too sure on power since we are only subscribed to Acellus.
can i switch anytime from Power to Acellus@@UltratecJS

I appreciate your video. Q: can this program be done on an IPAD or does it require a labtop?
We use laptops, but you should be able to do it from the iPad with no problem! I've heard of other parents using tablets exclusively.
Thank You So Much.
How would you say the testing is pertaining to the lessons learned?
My kids take notes from the lessons and are able to get A's on their exams and finals.
What do you think of their new rules limiting weekly steps? This makes Acellus no longer self-paced.
I did notice half the classes say 20 steps limit per week due to NCAA regulations. We haven't run into the issue yet so I'm not sure yet.
Interesting, they must have done an update because in all of my daughters classes (9th grade) she can do 40 steps a week, but for her, 15 to 20 steps a week per class is best..
Is there any trouble getting into college? Do colleges look at applicants that are home schooled differently?

Are these updates only with gold program?
Every member with Acellus gets these updates/Gold Edition.
