As a CTM fan you MUST do the Chatham Dockyard tour, where lots of it is filmed - it’s brilliant! I am lucky enough to be going to see Helen George in The King & I in February. Very excited! 😊
We went to the dockyard for David's birthday a few years ago but I was only saying we might be due a revisit, and I am also going to see The King & I this year too!

Just read 'Bad Actors', latest in Mick Herron's Slough House series which successfully infuses humour into the spy genre.

I have 5 of the Call the Midwife books. Go online and you can see if they interest you. I really enjoy the different seasons as well. After the first 2 seasons, they put out: “The Life and Times of Call the Midwife.” This is my favorite. I really love the series you did on the six queens. It was absolutely brilliant. I don’t know when I have enjoyed anything as much on BookTube for 2022. Welcome to the married club. You look radiant despite the cough. I married my husband when I was 20. I was so young and I didn’t have many life experiences; however, for me my life has gotten so much richer each year I have been married. I wish the very best to you and David. May your entire lives be blessed with love and as much happiness as you can find.

She already has a couple of friends waiting to read them as she finishes them! I want to read Her Majesty's Royal Coven so I think I will treat myself to a copy as a new year present to myself. You sell the poetry book well. I have never got into poetry but have reserved a copy at my library based on your enthusiasm of it.

Funnily enough I remember you mentioning Slug earlier in the year and I thought, oooh that sounds great, I'll get that!! And I never did... Maybe a New Year's treat to myself... If you're looking for more poetry or to access more poetry, I cannot recommend enough the Poetry Unbound podcast with Padraig Ó Tuama or the book that he has just released. Each episode (and in the book) he reads a poem from a diverse range, and then breaks the poem down and discusses it in such welcoming and accessible depth. I have always loved poetry but the podcast (and I got the book for Christmas!) has truly changed the way I view and read poetry... Anyway, I'll stop rambling 😂 thank you for a great video!

✨🎄 FUN FACT: when I lived in London (I’m Aussie but was there for 2 years), one of my housemates was a costume designer for Call the Midwife! I was even temporarily employed for the production too and made some of the children’s Christmas costumes which can be seen in one of the Christmas specials (days of work but only on film for a few moments so it really makes you appreciate the work that goes into it all) ✨🎄
@@LaurenAndTheBooks the 2019 Christmas/Holiday special! At the end, the midwives and the community celebrate with the kids outside and I’d made some of the children’s costumes including the red and green presents, the star, pudding, snow man and Christmas tree 🤗
I am a mad feminist and am super interested in why did you stay? I think for me it will be the opposite, back when I dated I would break up over the tiniest wrongs. Like I hate summer and I get really prickly and don't want to be touched. I broke up with a guy because he hugged me in summer and when I told him how I felt about touch in summer he didn't remember and hugged me again. It took a few unwanted hugs and I was out. Anyway turns out I'm asexual and aromantic so that probably explains it, but I am studying social work with a plan to work in domestic/family violence so I am fascinated by people's toxic relationships. Will read.
I am really disappointed to hear you call JK Rowling a TERF. It is a horrible term to use for a powerful, self made woman who is using her wealth and position to support the rights of vulnerable women and children.
