    From last 2 years I have been so busy installing lithography machines which exposes the wafers for intel all over the world (Ireland, Germany, France, Israel, Japan, and now currently in Portland). These machines/tools takes around 3-4 months to install in clean room environment and single machines costs more than 100million dollars. Our team has travelled more in covid times compared to pre covid. Can’t wait for my home country to get Fab where I can go and install machines.

    • @DhavalShukla
      @DhavalShukla 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's interesting. 🤔 I'd like to know more on how this is done. Does our country have the kind of environment that is required for these machines installation and the mass production of semiconductor chips. I recently read a Solar magazine that had mentioned about how much government is ready to spend on chip industry and related factories have been built in Hyderabad, among other places.

    • @JatinEurope
      @JatinEurope 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@DhavalShukla to install one machine it is a very long process, I and my team work on one machine 24/7 on shift pattern (12hr shift) for 3 months if everything is going well if not it can take upto 4-5 months. You are working in a very controlled clean environment wearing PPE from top to bottom. You need 24/7 power, 24/7 ultra pure water and a lot of things i mean a lot of things. To train one engineer it takes up to 12-15 months because you are dealing everything in microns and nanometers. And to just construct one Fab you need around 4-5 billions dollars so yes you need help from government it is a very huge investment and then you need to train a lot of engineers to service these machines.

    As of India providing man power and engineers is like the only major contribution, india can provide lands and infrastructure for way cheaper price than America and all , but here many different factors arrise . Top engineers from Indian institute of technology and National institute of technology go for foreign jobs because they want it , to leave india and their quality(family tradition, culture, national interest) life for living a better quantity(money , future scope etc) life in say usa , russia , etc . And for all America is like the most ideal place for everything, so india is just stuck at making or rather manufacturing man power and varities skilled workforce for the world .
    14:00 yes , it's actually suprising. See we in asia , especially in india are taught every subject to almost the highest level which in most cases will never be required in life . Like i remember reading about this pearl harbour incident and world war 1 and 2 and stuff and we got to literally remember word , line by line for exam without even asking any questions cause first of all its history and secondly you can't question the norm . I maybe was around like 15 or so and we have to give indian history , and world history at the same time . Like i have seen my friends from foreign countries esp Europeans , they literally have no clue to whatever happened in the world history , even in their own country history all they know is few gk and trending news That's also lacks on proper depth . Im not calling anyone out , but our teachers and parents beating us to read books on histro-political issues and history basically makes us feel special around those who are like in shock when they hear these things .

      This is the difference between the Chinese and the Indians. The Chinese just do every job in a down-to-earth way, while the Indians always draw a big pie, but there is no result when they are implemented. . The Chinese people's IQ, organizational ability, diligence, planning and design ability are all among the top in the world. . This scares people in developed Western countries, fearing that China will surpass them in every way. . They don't know the character of the Chinese people. The more they restrict China's things, the more China is interested and wants to accept the challenge, which will eventually be solved by the Chinese. . Look at the US restricting China's participation in the International Space Station, China made its own space station. . The Americans used GPS to cut off China's voyage cargo ships and forced boarding inspections, which stimulated China, and China developed its own Beidou satellite navigation system. . The United States and Europe prohibit the export of weapons to China. Now China has developed aircraft carriers, hypersonic missiles, fifth-generation fighter jets, H-20 long-range bombers, etc. The United States prohibits any communication between NASA and China. China has landed on Mars, the back of the moon, etc. gradually surpass the United States. .

    China can sit back and relax If They saw this master plan. The problems the not base on how you planning, it’s the execution. How many things India planned? Own aircraft carrier? plane? Weapons? Space projects? They need to build their infrastructure first. Trains, ports, road and others. “Transportation” Making chips not just need factories. All the raw materials had to delivered. And chips got to send out. “Power” India still have their Electric problems. How many chips will destroy if the production stop? “Manpower” not how many ppl you have. It’s how many engineers to ensure chips are good. Chips are not low standard production. And a lot of things. Hard for me the list out.

There are no labour laws and rights for the workers and tbh they are more hard working than indian which is not that big of a deciding factor whereas in India, there are a lot of labour laws and unions which won't allow people to work more than intended and if they work they have to be paid for that as well.

  • @rahulchawla20
    @rahulchawla20 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It’s already naive to segregate imports between HK and mainland China. The former has zero factories and is making everything in the latter, rebranding it and exporting. In fact, majority of those so called HK companies are owned by mainland Chinese. Next up, Silicon - the basic raw materials for semi-conductors are largely found in China. Also, many other natural resources for EVs are also owned by China. They own majority of the Cobalt mines in Congo as an example. Speaking of the machines to make semi-conductors, ASML Netherlands is the one for it which has huge investments from China again. Also, India’s effort isn’t new in this. SCL did try a lot but then failed due to variety of factors - both internal, external. Speaking of Japan, US had killed it slowly in the 90s when the latter felt intimidated with its rise in technology. That’s exactly being tried on China and it will be done to India too. Let’s all wait and watch and act reasonably and informed enough, instead of being just pure emotional.
