While Swamiji makes spirituality so accessible, he is so accepting of one’s spiritual practice wherever they are, whomever they are. Even if one is confused, he has a way of making one feel it’s ok. He gives you the feeling that as long as you’re sincerely practicing with good intentions, you’re doing it right. The more I hear his lectures, the more I feel he’s reading my mind and talking directly to me.

Truly when I first came upon him I was so totally fascinated with his oratory skills I would spend the whole time noting the perfect construction of the talk, the beautiful use of language, the lovely physicality, the way he would always tie everything up. And the deep well of knowledge he could call upon (highly highly intelligent person). But I was so fascinated with the talk itself I had to go back and take in the meaning on a second listen. I do think he is one of the greatest speakers in the US today, in any walk of life.

The best thing not just about Swamiji but also all Advaitins is that they seldom criticize/refute any other faith/ideology/philosophy. On the contrary you will see Dvaitis and Vishishtadvaitis spending their most of the time refuting Advaita.
If you’ve ever tried to have a philosophical discussion with an advaitin, you will find that trait it present there too. It seems that when one has faith in their path, they will reject and even criticize all other paths. It is only the spiritually mature that are able to transcend faith bias.

Wow u just gave me much clarity ,I choose bhakti for now I have been stuck between the two paths for a year ,no one in Ohio can explain the difference ,I'm generally stuck between Eastern philosophy friends and Christian friends ,I knew both had its benefits but I thought maybe one had to be right or wrong for some reason, my close friends are on the path of vedanta where I'm more in the middle because I still have a child ,girlfriend,job,I smoke marijuana I just haven't completely got rid of my sense of "I".I a. Only 26 years old new to the spirit path ....my friends I don't believe have renounced their worldliness enough for the vedanta path either,,thank you God bless🙏

Damah: Self-Restraint - Control over the Senses, iii. Uparati: Withdrawal from external activities and distractions to focus on and engage in higher delight or spritual pursuits, iv. Titiksha: Endurance and Tolerance of pain difficulties and hardships without complaint. v. Sraddha: Faith- trust and conviction in the spiritual path vi. Samadhana- Equanimity. It is the ability to remain undisturbed regardless of the external circumstances like pleasure and pain, success and failure etc. Mind becomes steady and undisturbed and focused on the non-dual Brahman. 4. Mumukhatva (Deep desire to be Free)

This is an excellent lecture on bhakti yoga. The revered swamiji takes pains to explain with ease and commitment how Bhakti yoga is relatively easy to realize god. Quoting the 79th suthra of Narada bhakti sutra, swamiji clearly expounds Sarvada (at all times), Sarva bhavena (in all the ways), Nischintehi (without any anxiety) worship the lord. This is the key of this entire lecture. We are beholden to you Swamiji.

These elements are having no attachments; simply a facet of combination which creates opportunity for sight. Sight chakra six, grounded in sight the ignorance of nonpracticioners.
