First and foremost, thank you for your craftsmanship....beautiful work sir, You are hereby applauded. Secondly, I have been working with 150 to 135 year old old growth redwood. I am recycling old homes and salvaging all the wood I can. All or mostly all is full of ancient hand forged square headed blacksmith nails. I watched you use your pneumatic nail remover on those pallet nails and just went out to buy one. I have been removing all those old nails by hand for the past ten years and didn't know such a device was even available. So thanks again for the video and your knowledge. I am now 87 years old and still working with wood and you just made my life and future easier. I for one, appreciate you.
Hello, my name is Abdullah from the State of Kuwait By chance I saw the video and it was very beautiful and wonderful I wish you a good life, safety and security Thank you my regards
This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
That wood thanks you for letting it live on in beauty forever instead of ending up in a landfill. I'm going to pick up pallets every time I see them by dumpsters now. Thanks for the inspiration!
Every time I see pallets piled up, my mind goes crazy with different uses. But, as I live in an apt and have no access to any type of tools or equipment, I can only sit and enjoy videos like yours. THank you!
I love in a medium sized city. Our library district has a free maker space. Get a storage unit for material. And work space. Where there's a will, they're a way
First video I saw with a denailer gun. I've salvaged hundreds of pallets and crates and have two of them. Those things are major work savers when salvaging wood material from crates and pallets!
I understand the frustrations of preparing the boards but even i could see the finish work before it was completed. The preparation is what makes your work unique, a one of a kind piece so be proud of your work.
Beautiful job ! I did something similar when I was in 8th Grade Wood Shop Class back in 1961 . My Aunt & Uncle (Mom's older sister & her husband) owned & operated a Grocery Store & my Uncle was the Butcher . I made a New Butcher's Block for my Uncle with Racks & Hooks on the sides for his knives & saws . I made it using lumber scraps that I got from Housing Construction Sites . Everything was Finished with Ultra-Spar Varnish except the Upper 12 inches of the Butcher's Block which was saturated with Virgin Olive Oil because it was to be in contact with Raw Meat .
You spent months creating something absolute breathtaking out of something that was considered trash. You are certainly a master carpenter/woodcrafter. In this instance woodcrafter most definitely applies. Outstanding craftsmanship and patience and attention to detail. Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing. Will be looking for other videos
I come from a long line of wood workers and I commend you on your resourcefulness and craftsmanship. A project like this in so intensively labor intensive it is a wonder you were able to make a profit on the project. The finished product is absolutely stunning and shows the level of skill and dedication to perfection you put into this project! Great job my friend!!!

I'm going to give your butt joint degree a shot on my next build, I have a hard time getting my miter saw to do a perfect 90. It's almost never correct and I'm almost always filling in a little bit of a gap somewhere. Thank you for the input and the great idea!! And thank you so much for watching! I have about eight videos filmed, that need to be edited and uploaded. Still, just really busy at the moment in the shop. It's hard to find time to add it but I have stuff coming soon! I am watching you from Poland and had a little "haha" moment when I saw the name of the restaurant. :) What you did is absolutely awesome, the meticulous work and attention to detail is just top tier. I love reclaimed wood and I love how you've given these pallets new life. I have to say I envy you a bit that you can just pull them off the street. I don't think it's a possibility in Poland, but after this video I will definitely give it a closer look. On a personal note - I am building my amateur/semi-professional workshop right now and you gave me inspiration for my worktops - I used some old boards I had found in my grandfather's shed to build them. The only difference is I covered them with a solid layer of hard resin. After all, they're worktops. I didn't pay as much attention to detail as you, but they turned out fantastic. I even have the same planer, so I definitely know what you meant by "pushing the limits." Thank you for this video, it is awesome and made me subscribe. So you got another fan/disciple, this time from Poland! :) Great work, keep it up!
Nice! I did some coffee tables with that look. I cut quarter inch thick by one inch wide strips and glued them to cabinet grade plywood. It worked very well.
Great build and beautiful end result. Very labor intensive by itself let alone filming it too. Awesome. I hope you brand your name on your work so you are forever a part of that establishment and potentially garner future customers. Work that nice should have a signature on it. 👍🏻 Cheers from a fellow Michigander 🍻
My condolences Furlock. It is incredibly hard to lose them but they are never forgotten! I hope you found some happiness with these video's and i hope to see your comments on future videos as well!
Will you have a wood stove in your new shop? With all the wood you burn outside you could save on the cost of heating the new shop. Modern wood stoves are pretty efficient and can be hooked into a duct system to distribute the heat. I had a cousin that heated his whole house, around 1800 square feet, with a wood stove hooked into the central air ducts. He was a carpenter and burned mostly the scrap wood from his projects. I have also seen fireplaces with an insert to heat the whole house while enjoying the fire.
Thank you n-times for this video which raised my confidence to make the best out of 30m3 of twisted, bowed and cupped colorful tropical hardwood boards which were almost dedicated to be used for heating ...
Amazing! What a lot of work! Beautiful results. Thanks for the information as well, I did not know about the wire in the pallets. You likely saved some tools and prevented some injuries. Extraordinary work. Truly you are awesome!
This idea was also born in my head not so long ago. At the moment I have a huge amount of used pallets and thin boards in my truck. They are free! I will take them from Germany to Poland. I'm starting to cattle the house. I will use them for formwork ... then I will make furniture from them. Thank you for your inspiration and ideas!
Finally a really pallet built project not these fake home made ones that are brand new wood .. has absolutely no character to it .. i used a old pallet to make a 2 seater arm chair and it cane out so beautifully im now hooked on making more projects ... wish i could post a pic to show you ...
Thanks Mark! Glad to hear you found some inspiration from it! I just uploaded a new video that is basically a sequel to this one! Check it out if you get a moment! I have about 5 more videos on the horizon as well! Sub if you want to see more! Hope to see your comments on future videos!

I enjoyed your....long film. Felt like 10 min video to me. It's a honest work. Taking care of the small details. That's what makes it unique. Good luck.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE work, @TreeCycled! I'm currently working on something similar, using old maple hardwood flooring to create a large butcher-block style worktop in my garage/shop. I know you were limited by the size of the pallet boards, but would you say a certain length of each "board" works best, for the pattern you ended up with? Excluding scattered larger & shorter boards, for variety, of course. The flooring pieces I have range from as small as 14" up to almost 8' (only a few straight ones, at that length). I just want to create some good variety in the pattern, without it looking like it's one long board, with no character. Thanks again for the video - it definitely helped me realize that I'm on the right path, and will hopefully end up with a result that's almost as impressive as yours! Cheers!
I have to work on my editing discipline for sure! But ive gotten better at removing the high pitched brain drill noise of timelapse out haha. Check out my latest video! Thanks for commenting and hope life is treating you well!
Sir great build thank you. Now I'm convinced, I'm going to collect a couple hundred pallets, like you, and make some kitchen counters covered in epoxy. I must also build myself a 36 inch thickness sander. My planers only do 15 inch. My wife wants some of those cattle doors on tracks. Like what's hanging in our barn.
I run the same amazon special nail puncher, i run mine at 100-110 psi and the nails missile launch out the other side most of time, if you dont mind them being real deal projectiles, it saves the crow bar step.
Great work! I was absolutely surprised that you referenced Don Cab! I did not ever think I would see a one of my favorite albums referenced in a woodworking video. I saw them on the What Burns Never Returns tour in 1999. Incredible.
This looks great! You managed to turn scrap wood into something that has real value. All that time, care, hard work paid off big time. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
That was an epic project! It was awesome to see you turn all of those old pallets and make them into very nice tables!!!! I’m sure the restaurant owner is very happy with them! Great work!!!!

Fantastic work! When I saw this video in my feed I thought, "thats an idea for the 3x10 family table for our back lanai." After watching the process move ill try something else. 😀
I'll never forget the day I got all excited and took most of a huge stack of pallets home on the ute. An hour and a half later I'd rudely torn apart one of them with a claw hammer and various unsuitable tools lol. Sitting on the floor of the garage looking up at the pile, thinking about how much work it would be to take them back where I got them.. Makes me chuckle. A few good tools made all the difference. Anyway, love the benches.
I made two workbenches out of pallets and I thought I was working hard. Watching you, now that's hard work. Your cool tool, pneumatic nail remover is awesome, will buy one. I enjoyed watching the video. Awesome job 👏 👍
Absolutely! I do my best to make sure that i only take Pallets with HT. Stay away from Unmarked if you can, and definitely Stay away from MB! Thanks for watching Pawel! Hope your life is treating you well!
(Newbie question) Is there any way to sand down/coat chemically treated pallet wood with a sealant so that it would be safe for indoor use? I want to build a table/some other indoor furniture, but a lot of the pallets I find are not HT. Thanks!
Absolutely beautiful work!!! This is exactly what I been wanting to do for a couple of my work tables. This made my mind up for sure. I'll be looking forward to getting them completed this spring. Thanks for posting this great video!!!
Thanks for turning me on to What Burns Never Returns Im watching your video for a 3rd or 4th time and playing Don Caballero 3 as the soundtrack over you working on the planner. Fits perfectly
...... This is probably the best comment I have ever had on this channel. I'm honored to pass on the Don cab!! Thank you so much for the comment and thank you so much for watching!
This wood was all going to be burned, I presume, or put into the dump. So..... you just created (with COUNTLESS HOURS OF HARD WORK AND EQUIPMENT) - - YOU JUST CREATED A WORK OF ART! I'm so stoked for you! Keep rocking it - keep up the great work! The trees that gave their lives to being pallets thank you for turning them into a work of art too. They are actually food service racks! Like the type lunch ladies' will put trays of food on, or bread makers will fill with baskets of loaves. They are super hand for woodworking too! Thanks for watching Michael!
@@treecycled Oh HECK YEAH, we have some large-scale food service liquidation in my area, & I will either keep my eye out for these, or just build a useful-if-not-pretty version myself. Thank you--great idea.

Interesting Project. What I find a huge risk is wearing gloves on a table saw. There are numbers of how to make push-sticks out that prevents cutting fingers or hands in a running sawblade. Most Suppliers of circular saw deliver Security Parts like riving knife ans Dustcollector from above the Running blades. I found no reason why not to use them when cutting Boards to width. No hidden Cuts or something... I can urgently recommend those security items.
Dude, I watched many videos but I am only pissed that I did not have popcorn....Truely wonderful and patiente job. I will be saving this one for a second and third watch

Is that nail remover a specific device or a repurposed/modified nail gun?
You could have stopped this video at the pneumatic nail remover and still receive a thumbs-up from me

Now i know what to do with all the pallet wood i got from my work
I said this 5 min in and ya know what? Nevermind 😅 looks amazing though
Its definitely a ton of work! Thank you much for watching and for taking the time to comment!
Wow, amazing what you did with the wood from discarded pallets. Way to recycle. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely stunning! Sheer genius! Love your work, such skill and attention to detail

I made two workbenches out of pallets and I thought I was working hard. Watching you, now that's hard work. Your cool tool, pneumatic nail remover is awesome, will buy one. I enjoyed watching the video. Awesome job 👏 👍
What an awesome build. Thank you for sharing! The bar tops turned out just stunning!
Those table will last a life time super nice and strong congratulation
It's worth to mention that only pallets marked as HT (heat treated) are safe to use for such projects. All other treatments could be to toxic.
Thanks!
I understand your concern. But, apparently MB is NOT dangerous to use th-cam.com/video/4IblRBJMh-k/w-d-xo.html
Never get bored to watch this project. Awesome

OCD pinging
This wood was all going to be burned, I presume, or put into the dump. So..... you just created (with COUNTLESS HOURS OF HARD WORK AND EQUIPMENT) - - YOU JUST CREATED A WORK OF ART! I'm so stoked for you! Keep rocking it - keep up the great work! The trees that gave their lives to being pallets thank you for turning them into a work of art too. Thank you for sharing your journey. Namaste. #treecycleon #TreecycledForArt #TreecycledForAll
Thank you so much for the kind words Mims! I truly appreciate it when people can understand and respect the art of recycling and upcycling! Hope you found inspiration in my videos and i would love to see your comments in my future videos! Click sub!! Namaste to you my friend!! Welcome to the Treecyled Family!!
My boss would get very upset that I did not clean the floor before I put down the metal brackets
Just thinking the same
@@junethackray3599 me too
I understand about using what we have and I like to think it gives the piece more character. 👍🏻🇺🇸

Watches for 15 speeded-up minutes, thinks, man, that seems like a LOT of work, realises there is another 35 minutes to go.
Never mind some video's are worth of it and some don't, I like this Guy!!

@@CarieSaad You're not actually correcting my British English spelling/grammar, are you?!
Some people ask for a "like", you don't need to. Marvelous work, great dedication.
Where’d you get the racks you used to hold the wood while you were processing it? Those are pretty awesome and space saving!😳
They are actually food service racks! Like the type lunch ladies' will put trays of food on, or bread makers will fill with baskets of loaves. They are super hand for woodworking too! Thanks for watching Michael!
Sweet deal, thank you. And you make it easy to watch, it’s always therapeutic to watch another artist work, create and share with the world. 👍
@@treecycled Oh HECK YEAH, we have some large-scale food service liquidation in my area, & I will either keep my eye out for these, or just build a useful-if-not-pretty version myself. Thank you--great idea.
Я в восторге от профи мастера! Замечательная работа! Столешница чудная! Удачи во всех делах!
The Bar tops look amazing!!! how long did they take to build start to finish?
I think probably 200+ hours. Not entirely sure honestly. It was a LOT of time. Thanks for watching Keith!
Unbelievable. Gorgeous. The time and effort put into that is stunningly awesome. Sorry for your loss...
I appreciate the kind words Mark! Hard to lose them but they will never be forgotten! Thank you for watching and i hope to see your comments on future videos!
This would make an awesome computer desk top. Going to give it a try!
a lot of work, good Job, nice attention to detail, good work.
Thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words James! I hope to see your comments on future videos. I just uploaded a new video which is basically a sequel to this video! Check it out if you get some free time!
pretty work, very laborious but the final result is very nice and respectful with the middle environment. Greetings from the Canary Islands, Spain.
10%water, 90%Glue. Glue follows the water. Old woodworker tip. Your work is amazing. Thanks for sharing!! GOD BLESS You and Yours
I don't understand what you mean by that. Are you suggesting to dilute the glue with 10% water, so that it runs better?
How inspiring. Thanks for giving me some ideas for my retirement. This checks alot of boxes for me. I love the craft of repurposing items. Plus at the end of all scraps. They end up heating my shop. Thanks and be safe. Get a cage for that van. Sudden stops could be harmful.
