At this price, $130 is pretty good. The last laptop I owned was a Dell Inspiron 3000 and that one costed over $1000 way back. This laptop at $130 seems like a more capable machine for much less money.
I'd rather just have a Chromebook at this price, as it will run better on less resources, it's a lot more secure than Windows 10, a lot of the newer ones can run Android apps(not 100% perfect mind you, & do a model list search before buying), and in the newest developer channels they are rolling out support for more feature rich Linux programs, which means STEAM for Linux if you are willing to compile it. I had a $99 Hisense Chromebook I got off Groupon about 2 years ago, and even with only 2GB of RAM, and a 720p screen after the update I was running Android apps, and games on it like GTA: Vice City with ease, and even full USB Xbox 360 controller support, and near 60fps stable frame rates in that 720p resolution in full screen, however the flash storage it used as the boot drive eventually went bad, and it was just not worth trying to fix at that price.
@thomas samson No they don't, I much prefer chromebooks, especially at this price point. A chromebook will always run faster than an equivelent windows laptop at the same price range. Windows is a bloated, crappy, virus infested os.
Chromebooks can be even cheaper, more secure, can handle the basics, run Android apps(google model listings for supported Chromebooks), are getting better Linux program support, boom done!
Wow this laptop is actually pretty amazing for the price. Only problem is the storage but other than that, pretty surprised with the overall package. That webcam quality destroys laptops that cost 2-3 times more.
I have Linus's opinion of GPUs for laptops don't waste your money on a crappy $100-200 model, spend just a little more for a better value laptop and if you don't have more money then go find a used laptop, they won't have the nice 6-10 hours of battery life a new one might offer but the performance and general usability of a $200 used laptop will be far better than a new one at that sort of price, I mean if you really want to waste your money like that you may as well blow it all on a high-end phone, I think you'd be better off with at least one nice device rather than having several budget devices. Also consider that if you spend under $200 on a laptop now you will at some point hate it, it could take a few days, few weeks or even a year later, but you're almost guaranteed to absolutely hate it at some point and want to toss it for another, but if you spend $400-500 on a laptop you'll probably have a good time and end up keeping it for good 5-10 years.
Can you make a video on how to take care of a gaming laptop. How to maintain it's longevity. How to clean. What to clean. When to clean. How to charge. When to charge. Etc etc. Please!!!!!
To maintain battery longevity, never let the battery go below 10% and do not leave it plugged into the charger all the time. Only charge it when necessary.
Sadly no it cannot and this comment isnt ironic my brothers laptop has an amd a6 and it cant even run roblox bloxburg. Well it can but at 5 fps. My 300 buck lenovo I3 gets 60fps auto settings and not to mention my laptop is from 2008 while my bros is from 2016
Danny Corn well I have a Xbox one x so I don’t need to😅....my pc does Basic computing work that’s what I need!...and my gaming needs are fulfilled by Xbox
I could see that as a burner laptop something you give the kids take on vacation to offload your photos onto or just to watch video on and not have to worry about it too much if it gets broken. It's nice to see how far technology has come.
got one new for $116 at best buy a couple months ago. I miss my macbook pro but got it as something in the meantime till I can afford another macbook. It can be brutally slow coming from a 16gb ram and 500gb ssd macbook pro, but honestly I just needed to apply to some jobs and for 116 bucks it does the job so I can't complain. Definitely not viable as a permanent solution but as a temporary/travel laptop its fine.
If people took shots every time they watched a video on this channel, every time Austin says, "is going to be," they'd die of alcohol poisoning halway through each video.
I bought one, and Austin is correct about the difficulty of installing apps and updates with almost all of the storage eaten up by the windows installation. Returned it a few days later for that reason. I just wanted to put a few select apps that don’t run on MacOS, and didn’t wanna do dual boot on my MacBook Pro
Well he hit all the right points for this laptop . I don't own one but I know someone who does . And their experience is like this . If you're considering this laptop I'll advise you to go for something that has atleast 64GB eMMC. 32 just leaves 8 GB for you . 64 leaves around 37 . Also I think this thing is way too small . But performance will be pretty fine for simple computing . Just not having ethernet connection is a negative if you ask me .But atleast you get Dell's excellent customer support
Some of these major updates for Windows like the 1803 won't allow you to use external storage to update, so you can't update unless you reload Windows with that update. If you don't update Windows constantly harasses you to do the update, not worth it one bit.
I had one of these Dell Inspiron 11 laptops. It was nice to have windows on it but the storage was terrible. The whole thing was slow and sucked at running windows properly. I switched to a Chromebook and it's better than that thing. I only need a laptop for basic tasks. Most of my heavy work loads are on my desktop windows PC.
Tiler Durpen It's not the same as it was 2-3 years ago. Most mainstream Chromebooks have android, and they are introducing Linux support. Plus their web apps work very well tbh. Most security experts buy Chromebooks because of how secure they are.
KillMeWithPotato Well said, I've got an ASUS Chromebit I bought new for $70, and it's been in use as a internet kiosk for my clients at my work on an ACER 19in VGA LCD 1440x900 monitor(HDMI to VGA adapter with 3.5mm audio out), and even with only 2GB of RAM it's nice, and snappy, and has been able to handle anything they have thrown at it far as basic web browsing, and 1080p(720p for 60hz videos) TH-cam, and it even has 5Ghz WiFi with constant updates. I know not a Chromebook/laptop, but just goes to show how little hardware ChromeOS actually needs to run smoothly for basic daily task most people will throw at it. Having said that I bought a used $90 Lenovo Thankpad X131e Chromebook, and bumped the RAM to 8GB DDR3L added a 500GB HDD for extra storage, and replaced the battery because, but honestly even that's overkill for Chrome OS.
This laptop has so much potential in it , only if they're willing to put in a dual channel 2x2 2400 MHz ram and slightly improve the cooler by adding more heatsink and a good quality thermal paste , on that 768 res it will be able to play so many esport game at low- medium setting at 50 plus fps
For about that same price, I remember a couple of years ago when I was able to find a Dell Precision m6400 laptop which rather than it being a new budget laptop, its more like an older flagship laptop from dell, like top of the line specs from late 2008 to early 2009 with a 2.53 ghz Core 2 Quad extreme QX9300 cpu with 12 gb ddr3 ram, 1 gb ATI firepro card, and for about $100 more, I put in an intel 480 gb ssd, and has windows 7 pro with a full hd 1980 by 1200 screen and a front facing camera. I feel its still very capable today even with built in wifi, although its either g or n, and bluetooth. Of course most of the case is made of medal.
I appreciate that ya'll quantify your terms. LIke i have no clue what any of those cpu's mean.. but you gave an understandable quanitfying statement to it.
The answer to the storage space problem with these laptops, is to install linux, with a full fledged linux like opensuse it uses about 6gb, ubuntu around 8-10gb. The 32 GB eMMC is a killer. I would consider 64 GB an absolute bare minimum for a Windows 10 system, and even with 128 GB you can find yourself stretched. At this price point, you can do a lot better with something used.

I picked up the Celeron version with 2gb RAM for $120 about 2 years ago. Out of the box it runs really well for a basic machine.Updating windows on it was a task having only 32gb storage but the USB drive assisted update works but very slowly. Apparently the processor, storage can be upgraded. RAM can be upgraded to 4gb no hassle and 8gb on low power (not familiar with low power settings for RAM. I'm a more casual PC user that knows little beyond basic replacement parts). Of course it's a cheap device so spending more to upgrade it is on the whole, futile but interesting.
So I just bought this in 2022 for 2 reasons. 1. Just to have an emergency backup incase my main desktop is out of commission. 2. To write my novel on with Scrivener if I am out and about anywhere. 3. To bring with me when I travel and need access to basic pc functionality. I will have it Sunday and the only thing I plan to do is swap out the ssd for a 1tb m.2. For those who ask why I wouldn't get something more powerful: My Desktop has a Ryzen 9 5900 and a RTX 3070ti - I have plenty of performance and don't need a powerful laptop, just something inexpensive.
I purchased a laptop used. It's the HP Pavilion DV5 2135dx and I got it for $50. The only downside was the battery couldn't hold a charge but I was able to pick up a 9 cell battery replacement for $30 off of amazon. I also upgraded it with a 120 GB SSD for another $30 and installed ubuntu mate cuz windows SUCKS. Overall for $110 I got a really nice laptop that's actually worth what I paid for it. Unlike any macbook EVER!
So this 130$ laptop has more ports than my 4200$ macbook pro touchbar?

I picked up the Celeron version with 2gb RAM for $120 about 2 years ago. Out of the box it runs really well for a basic machine.Updating windows on it was a task having only 32gb storage but the USB drive assisted update works but very slowly. Apparently the processor, storage can be upgraded. RAM can be upgraded to 4gb no hassle and 8gb on low power (not familiar with low power settings for RAM. I'm a more casual PC user that knows little beyond basic replacement parts). Of course it's a cheap device so spending more to upgrade it is on the whole, futile but interesting.
Yay, it’s not sponsored!
I got one of the Celeron N3060 versions. The eMMC died just after 1 year of light use with Linux Mint, you've been warned.
CAN IT RUN MINE CRAFT??
Joshua Joji Mathews yeah, maybe MAYBE
Maybe for a few minutes at 15fps before it tanks due to throttling.
Probably at 20 FPS unless Optifine is installed
I have a AMD A6 but it's from 2013 and it runs minecraft between 30-60 fps on fancy settings and 8 render distance but on low I get 40-100 fps
Jancy Varghese they does

Read it from right to left and pretend there's a question mark at the end
Hey Guyz, This's Exhausting

Hey 130 dollars, its is it worth it
I purchased a laptop used. Unlike any macbook EVER!
wanna hear a joke? Tanacon 😂
the first one literally looks exactly like my school laptops
