When the band formed, neither Tomomi, Haruna, or Mami had never played guitar and Rina was a 15-year old pianist. In short, they were challenged by their teacher at Caless to learn instruments. Fun Fact: Tomomi chose the bass because she thought the guitar had too many strings and looked too hard to play. LOL
Thanks for reacting! The choreography is actually a throwback to the moves they had to perform in the original video. One of the ironies of Scandal is the singer with the high voice plays the deep, throaty bass. Keep doing more Scandal!
For 15 years now, the #1 J-Girl band. Haruna Ono - 33 (lead vocals/rhythm); Mami Sasazaki - 31 (lead guitar/vocals); Tomomi Ogawa - 31 (bass/vocals); Rina Suzuki - 30 (drums/guitar/synth and vocals). Tomomi is often referred as The Chipmunk for her unique voice. Amazingly, drummer Rina is also a soprano and has a higher-pitched voice than Timo.
Very nice video! Please do carry on with Scandal. They are a fantastic band. Their 15th anniversary concert last week was amazing. They managed to give a great show despite all of the restrictions due to the ongoing situation. I'd say that a live version of "Scandal Baby" is a must for any reactor 😉
This was the song that got me into Scandal so many years ago! One of my favorite songs! Rina (Scandal) and Akane from Band-maid always have great smiles! Both Tomomi (Scandal) and Misa from Band-maid are great bass players
This song was since 2009, when they were still teenage girls, excepting HARUNA (She was 21 years old at that time). You also can have a look at Shoujo S MV. Another SCANDAL's song I think you may like is FREEDOM FIGHTERS.
I'm enjoying a lot discovering SCANDAL... only recently I got into them and it's a delight. This one is from their first full album "Best SCANDAL". Loving the skills from each one of them, but that lead guitarist is blowing my mind throughout the whole discography... and she isn't even that "typical" lead shredder, it's her sound, or what she comes up with, the ambiance, the use of the wah-wah sound, and on top of that, she also has a great voice. In fact, they all sing and know how to make it really appealing... that cute voice from the bassist, the main vocalist tone is one of a kind, the lead guitarist singing with the bassist's voice is awesome and I leave a suggestion for you to listen the drummer on lead vocals: "Oyasumi" ( th-cam.com/video/Xhz4iAB5coI/w-d-xo.html ), they all sing at some point and the song is just spectacular... in some passages it even reminds me of the band Ride...
A favorite of mine is Queens Are Trumps Live version with English Subtitles. I tried to send a link, but TH-cam in their infinite wisdom won't let me send a link of their own.
@@Harry_Creter_AKA_Kaldath Yes, Thank You Sir! I haven't figured out the secret to adding links yet. I appreciate your help. This was the 1st version of this tune I heard, I was pretty much knocked out by the groove & melody of the song. After I bought the studio version with the added lead work by a guest guitarist I liked that version too. Still one of my favorites because of the groove.
If you want to look into the history of all female rock bands you should check out Princess Princess. A couple of their bigger hits were Go Away Boy and 19 Growing Up.
These girls were school mates from dancing school originally which shows in their little dance. I love these girls for writing their own songs and play.
Check out "Galneryus - The force of courage" (live) or "Galneryus - Destiny" (live). It's a japanese prog power metal band and has one of the best guitarists
Have you seen the original sound source or video from that time? Originally they could hardly play musical instruments. The presence of Rina's drums, the original sound source, is very strong. And Rina was the most popular member in Japan. She is the youngest of the group. Lina started to support the leader's vocals and lead guitar with a more modest sound. Japanese women live in a horizontal society and have high seniority. After leaving the label, the lead guitar became the conductor instead of the drums. Please take a look at the original PV and live video from that time.
I usually don't care and it's been over a month since you uploaded it, but maybe someone should point out that the typo in the name of your video gives the whole song a new meaning. The title of the song is Shoujo (少女) S, which means "Girl S", but you wrote Shojo (処女) S, which means "Virgin S" ;)

That sounds like something from the anime K-ON. LOL

Haruna is 32 i think🤔

Another cool band...so kawaii😍
As someone else pointed out this from an anime, Bleach. They are talented ladies who have been around for awhile. Thanks

This is one of two anime themes they did for the anime, Bleach. They also did one for Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Another song where you can hear Rina (drummer) sing is playboy or Scandal in the house. Those two songs ever member sing a part in the song.
Timo's Ashdown amp and cabinet is almost as tall as she is (5'1"). Timo's bass god is Flea.
Awesome song! SCANDAL rocks! 🤘🙂🎸🥁

Anyone who is a fan of the Anime "Bleach" will recognize this song as the 10th opening theme for the show.
They did 2 Bleach openings and one for FMA Brotherhood.
@@ShikataGaNai100 FMA Brotherhood is a Ending no opening, it's the Ending 4 Shunkan Sentimental.
Loved them ever since that opening
