@@ChasingAdventuresCO ok I just put in my order for 2023 Wilderness in black and yes your car made my choice. The wheels/tire I was wondering how bad the rubbing is if its not bad I'm going to order the same set or would you chose something different now that you have had them for while aka the 38 off set or a different set of tires anything else. Thank you so much :)
@@Xasukis NICE!!! Congratulations Gypsyi. I am very excited for you. now to answer your questions, I wouldn't change a thing. I love my set up and yes it does rub but its only on the mud flap. I have been to Twin Lakes many times and it is a beautiful area. It is the perfect jumping-off point for several amazing hikes. When you walked to the old mine shafts, did you know that if you carried on walking the road to the south of the lakes, eventually you will come to a more recent mining operation up on the hillside? When I was there last in 1992, the mine was actually in operation!

You said you drove two hours to Bellingham, so you must be what West Seattle or maybe Renton maybe even farther cause I’m in Lake Stevens, and from Lake Stevens, and only takes about I think an hour to get to Bellingham
Hi Laurie, Thank you for your comment and no I am not getting a rooftop tent because, I had one before on my Tacoma build back in 2015 and had it for about 4 years. It was cool at first but I found more negative about the RTT than positive. few negatives are, I had to remove it when not in use because it did not fit my garage and as you know its pretty heavy and it was not fun! had to find a level ground because even the slight off angle made a huge difference up at the top, climbing up and down the ladder was getting old, and if its windy, it would flap so much and can't do nothing about it, MPG was horrible, setting the tent wasn't easy as it seemed.. hmm should I go on? LOL although these newer one touch RTT seems easy enough, and if you are in the woods, I did feel safer sleeping in RTT because I above the ground and I did have a bear encounter one time and he didn't know I was up there but again, other negatives has turn me away from it. I find sleeping in the car seems more comfortable, warmer and easier. Plus when on a road trip and want to crash for little bit, say at a rest stop, you could simply go to back of the car and sleep, but with the RTT you cant... anyways, I hope I didn't scare you or changed your mind about getting RTT if you were thinking about it. 😃 It's definitely a difference experience and some swear by it so everyone is different but those were my takes on RTT~
@@ChasingAdventuresCO I totally get it! Valid reasons for sure. I agree about sleeping in the car. Easier, more comfortable and warmer. Thank you for answering and I hope you and your wife have a wonderful Christmas 🎄

Thanks and thus was my first time camping here and it's called Twin Lakes near MT Baker. It is a beautiful place and planning to visit again this year. And OBW is a great offrading family wagon!

Hello and first off, congratulations on your purchase!! And Thank you very much for your kind words, I really appreciate it. The place is called Twin Lakes near MT. Baker. If you want to visit the place, it's best to go around fall. One of the guys told us there was snow until August and couldn't make it all the way to the lake.
@RathOne123 oh really? Nice. Well usually I put ketchup on the bread and sprinkle sugar on top but didn't have either of those so I just used the jam. Try it with ketchup and sugar next time! 😋

Amazing video mate! I am planning to upgrade to Outback Turbo this year (Australia) and just wondering with your car and with the Yakima storage box on top, what is the overall height? Just wondering because I have a got a rooftop tent and I need the car to enter into spaces (my basement parking etc).
Thank you, and I dont know the measurements, but I do know that with the roofbox, it does not fit into my garage, but with a rooftop tent, I am able to fit into the garage!
Love your setup!! I feel like copying it! 😍 I have a 2019 Subaru Forester, do you think that gas can mount would work on my Subie? Could you share where to get that mount and the gas can as well? 🥰

Hi there! Curious if you apply any paint protection to your Subaru? I just bought a black outback and I’m nervous about how easily scratches might show up during adventuring. Any tips or other pieces of info you’d recommend to maintain the paint job?
Hi Jasmin, I don't have PPF on the car, The only thing I have done is Garito's Garage 3-1 Ceramic wax but that won't help with scratches. I would recommend PPF if you want to keep the paint looking fresh after adventuring out.
Hello Anton, Thank you for your comment. and I love my Black OBW, but then again, my Fav. color is Black. the Blue does stand out tho and its unique to the OBW so either way, you cant go wrong. as for the tint, I used tint overlay film I purchased on Amazon and the emblems were plastidip.
Thanks man. It looks mad good but my current car is black and it gets so hot in summer. I was wondering that if you also like black what other colours look good in the Outback Wilderness

Thank you for coming along ~ have a great week!
Dang, her food 😂

Just caught your channel - loving what I’m seeing. Washington State - wow!
But moreover - congrats on being parents. What a blessing.
Hello Jeff, thank you for your kind comment!! I really appreciate it! 🙏 and yes I am looking forward to becoming a parent. It be a life changing experience for sure. Stay safe and happy holidays to you and your family Jeff.
We just bought our 23 Subaru Onyx XT this year and working on building it out, I can't wait to take it on adventures. I have a pretty good idea where you went! We have a family farm in that area. Congrats on parenthood! We have a 15 month old!
Hi Amanda! Congratulations on your purchase ~ 👏 and if you are ever in the area, this place is a must!! I am planning on going back this year, and our daughter is now 84 days old and can't wait till I start taking her with us. Have you guys taken your baby to camping and at what age is old enough?
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Ohh time flies with kids that's for sure. Before you know it they are walking and getting into EVERYTHING@ HAHA! We are up in that area several times through out the year. You would have actually driven by the house. We have not had the opportunity to take him camping yet. We have a long trip camping trip planned in June. My work schedule and my husbands have not allowed for us to get out. Haha! I would probably wait till may 6 months or when you can start incorporating purees into the mix.
@@amandaheller9122 haha EVERYTHING huh?! LoL. Can't wait!! Thank you for the heads up~~ and you guys have a safe trip!! 🙏
You have a great outlook. I enjoy your channel. Keep doing what you do. Oh and nice Subaru.
Thank you Jeff. I really appreciate it!! 🙏
I'm from just over the border. Will have to check out this area next spring. Thanks for the video/entertainment
Thank you 😊
Couple of trip/hike tips. Greider Lakes Trail. That's up sultan basin road. Sorta gravel-y road at the top.. Wonderful Lake.
Then the Cascade Hwy loop up through Arlington. 25+ miles of service roads. With cool stops on the way.
Wow. Those are some awesome tips!! I will definitely visit them. Thank you!
Awesome! Beautiful scenery. Nice ride.
Thank you. we appreciate it.!~
Love your adventure!
Thank you so much for joining our Camping Adventure
I just subscribed to your channel because I am considering buying an outback wilderness in the next year or so and I could not agree with you more on wanting to have your child be brought up with nature and a love for the outdoors. You sure picked a beautiful place. This is the exact reason I want to get a wilderness for trips like these with my wife and two young boys. Can't wait to see all the trips you go on in the future with your family!
Thank you for subbing to our channel. We really appreciate it 🙏 and the Wilderness is a great family suv/wagon and it's still has a cool factor 😎 😆 and we are enjoying this place every single day and can not wait till our daughter is old enough to start traveling with us. You and your family will love it. Are you also from PNW?
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Actually we are about 30 mins north of Atlanta, GA. Certainly not the PNW but we are close to the north Georgia mountains and then a drivable distance to the Tennessee and North Carolina Mountain Areas. I’m waiting for the 2024 Outback Wilderness as I’ve heard it will have the heated steering wheel 😊 Do you an favorite app you use for finding cool camping spots or off roads trails?
@Booster6969 ah I see, my little bro lives in Atlanta and might go visit soon. And I use Google map to search a spot and just go out and explore. First hand experience. 😃
Good video .. liked how your set up .. I'm single and have a Crosstrek .. I sleep in it. Just back from Moab with my son and daughter in law .. they tent .. I live in the car. 🤠👍🏻
Thank you~ Moab is out of this world!! I am jealous.
Cool video! Question where are her boots from?
Thanks and if I am correct, its from Columbia sports
@@ChasingAdventuresCO thank you!
Awesome video! My wife and I loved it. I’m happy to have found this channel. I ordered my wilderness in September and it gets here next week, supper pumped! You should include your wife in your videos more often.
Hello! Thank you for the comment and congratulations on your OBW!! You will love it. What car are you coming from? And my wife is SUPER camera shy so I am building her up to be more comfortable in front of camera so in time she will be in it more. LoL.
@@ChasingAdventuresCO You’re welcome and thank you! I’m coming from a Mazda CX-5. Im originally from New Jersey but now live in Utah and after a trip to a placed called Capital Reef this summer I realized what I was missing out on. So here I go chasing adventures 😁
@Cauldron Gaming oh wow. Utah is a nature heaven! Been to zion canyon and parts of surrounding areas and we fell in love!! And OBW is a perfect vehicle to go Chasing Adventures ~ !! 😃
As a New Englander, I am definitely jealous of the views you guys get out there.
You should come visit! It's really worth it if you love nature ~
@@ChasingAdventuresCO I hope to someday!
Congratulations on your pregnancy - wise words in the conclusion too 🎉
Thank you very much for joining our adventure!!
Great video I get my wilderness the end of this month and I’m super pumped.
Thank you for your comment. Much appreciated. And congratulations on your OBW! What car are you coming from? First Subie?
You said you drove two hours to Bellingham, so you must be what West Seattle or maybe Renton maybe even farther cause I’m in Lake Stevens, and from Lake Stevens, and only takes about I think an hour to get to Bellingham
we are near Tacoma

Thank you!~
what a great chill video. Subbed
Thank you!! I really appreciate it 🙏 😌
Curious, have you thought about a roof top tent? Nice video.
@@laurielavallee411 you are very welcome~ Thank you Laurie and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas as well~! and if you have any other questions, Please feel free to ask anytime~

Really Liked your OBW set up. 😎. Trying to following it.
Thank you. All the parts are listed in my description if it makes it easier. And you can save 5% on the wing rack if you use my code.
How are u getting those overhead and side shots while driving? Really inspiring video and praying that my plans line up to be able to purchase my Wilderness. God bless you and your family!
Thank you Eric!! And I used this amzn.to/44zGsHA to capture the shots while driving
Hi. What mine cave where you at? There is a few in the WA state. Thank you. Looks superb
Thank yoi and we were at twin lake near MT. Baker
Came across your videos because i’m shopping for the OB wilderness, great videos, love the nature in where you from. Your OB is nice and clean is it lifted?
Hello, and thank you for visiting 😊 mine is not lifted and I have not yet felt like I need to. Buy that might change perhaps in the future when I travel more into the Wilderness. 😆
I very much enjoyed the video
Thank you very much Bill. We really appreciate your comment!

Hey, thank you Vancamp! I really appreciate that!!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Luis for your comment. I really appreciate it~!
Wow, amazing scenery. Sorry if I missed it but what part of Washington did you camp in? I am getting an OBW next month and would love to go to some places like that. I would also love to move to the PNW.
Thanks and thus was my first time camping here and it's called Twin Lakes near MT Baker. It is a beautiful place and planning to visit again this year. And OBW is a great offrading family wagon!
Beautiful place. What is the name of that campground? I would love to go there!
It really is worth a visit. It's called Twin Lake near MT. Baker
Where is the campsite in Washington? Great video.
Thank you and it's called Twin Lake near Mt Baker.
Recently got a geyser blue OBW and will be looking for places like this for this upcoming spring/summer adventures. Was curious what is the lakes name I would love to check out this area for myself this summer.
Hello! Congratulations on your purchase! This place is called Twin Lake near MT Baker and it's a beautiful place. But it is covered in snow until late summer so plan ahead before you go. 😉
Hi, just came across this video and really enjoyed it. What’s the name of the park you camped at? We are in Canada close to Toronto and just got a 2023 Outback Wilderness. Really love the car. Congratulations on becoming parents soon. You have such right idea about how to raise your child. The core values you mentioned are spot on. Very happy for you guys.
Anyone know how the trail gets during the snow ?
haven't been up during the snow but I heard you can't go up .
@14:26 what are you spreading into your delicious sandwich? Jam/Jelly?
Hello there, LoL it's just strawberry jam. ~
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Okay I figured because this morning I tried your recipe and used jelly...boy it was good
@RathOne123 oh really? Nice. Well usually I put ketchup on the bread and sprinkle sugar on top but didn't have either of those so I just used the jam. Try it with ketchup and sugar next time! 😋
@@ChasingAdventuresCO yeah I used cabbage, wasn't too sure if it was lettuce or cabbage but yes I was watching the video and that looked really good and so I tried it this morning. Ketchup and sugar. I'll try it
Amazing video mate!
Thank you! The rack is by Orbis overlanding and I have a installation video. The product links are in the video description 😀
VERY NICE!!
THANK YOU!! 😊 🙏
How did you attach the gas packs to the stock roof rack? I want to do the same with my 2020 Onyx. Thanks!!
Hi Jim, it's mounted by Orbis Overlanding Wing rack and here is the video of me installing and you can find link and discount code in the video description. th-cam.com/video/EcWiLj42ODo/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I just subscribed. I’ve been watching your channel quite a bit the last few days. Where are you? I’m in unincorporated SnoHo about 5mi from the Boeing Everett plant. I currently have a ‘19 stock Forester, but that’s going to the kid (currently teaching her how to drive, and she’ll be eligible to get her license in mid-Oct.). Then I’m going to get myself a ‘24 OBW.
Hello Laurence! Welcome, and thank you very much for your support! I really appreciate it 🙏 I am in Tacoma area. And it's good to hear that Subarus remains within the family! You will love the OBW!
@@ChasingAdventuresCO yep. I’m pretty much sold on Subaru’s now. The ‘19 Forester is now my 3rd. I had a ‘10 Forester, a ‘14 BRZ, and this ‘19 Forester. Best vehicles for the $$$$ by far!
@LaurenceMSchwarz nice! Heard once you go Subaru, you ain't coming back. Lol 😆
@@ChasingAdventuresCO true story! 🤣
Very nice. In this video is your car lifted a bit? I have a factor Forester Wilderness '24 with stock tires and everything. I am wondering if this type of trails would be ok. I am also located in WA state and I'm looking forward to going on trips like this once the weather gets nicer.
thanks. its not lifted. still on factory suspensions. your FW will be just fine.
sweet video. Thx !
Hi Steve, Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it.
Well you are a great find! Im a nature lover and a Subie owner. The car is not important, nature is amazing! Sending positive thoughts and thanks from NE PA. 🥾🥾🐾🐾😎
Hello Lisa. Thank you for your positive comment!!! We really appreciate it! 😊 And yes Subie is a great car and perfect family vehicle to take us to amazing places. And to you Lisa, don't have a good day, but have a great day!!!
Cool trip. I'm in south King Co with a black '20 Onyx. Currently building it up to be a Wilderness clone.
I have ADF ditch light brackets, but after seeing your driver view I'm not sure I want to run them.
Nice! LOL. you get used to it after a while. ~ and it really helps out when driving in dark forest roads.
At 20:42, is that sound from the tires rubbing the fender during the turn?
Hi Barry, yes it's actually the mud flaps. I have an updated video, which I address this issue if you want to see it. th-cam.com/video/inIknpO6tpo/w-d-xo.html
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Thanks, I'll check it out.
Loving your adventures. We seem to frequent the same places sometimes. Feel free to say hi if our paths cross!
Hello, thank you and Of course~ I will and same to you!
Does anyone know what brand those shade structures are at 6:50?
I believe they are Coleman insta canopy
what are your thoughts on the blue compared to the black colour for the Outback Wilderness?
also how did you black out the badges and tint the lights?
Hello Anton, Thank you for your comment. and I love my Black OBW, but then again, my Fav. color is Black. the Blue does stand out tho and its unique to the OBW so either way, you cant go wrong.
as for the tint, I used tint overlay film I purchased on Amazon and the emblems were plastidip.
Thanks man. It looks mad good but my current car is black and it gets so hot in summer. I was wondering that if you also like black what other colours look good in the Outback Wilderness
What type of tarp set are you using? Were did you get it from?
most of my camping gear is from Amazon, which you could find the link in the video description or here www.amazon.com/shop/chasingadventures?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsfshop_aipsfchasingadventures_8QJ9Z5CEFYDJ4SS34XES
