How to make it possible to have both high and low beams on at the same time on a Chevy.

  • When I turn on the high beams on my 2009 Chevy Colorado, the low beams turn off. I have the same thing going on with my GMC Yukon. Without spending money on a relay kit. I found a thread from 355nation.net about you know both high and low beams on. There's instructions and pictures explaining how it works. Locate the high beam relay from the relay box and unplug it. You may use a jumper wire, but make sure it's insulated.
Have soldering iron or soldering gun with soldering material. Solder end of the prongs from 30 to 87A. Wait until cools. Plug the high beam relay back in. Start up the vehicle and turn on headlights. Turn on high beams and you should see four headlights on at the same time. If you have factory fog lights like I do, the fog lights will turn off and you have to find another way to keep the fog lights on.
Here's the link to the set up.

I hope this helps you out.
    Thank you.

I tried on a trailblazer but didn’t work, its seems the relay is different, don’t have 5 pins only 4, i tried and the high beam would turn on just inserting the relay back. Had to leave the way it was before
