Glad to view your review... Feature wise the z50ii ticks almost all boxes for me (not much bothered about IBIS ) But now I'm more confused.. I'm about buy my first camera. Should I invest in Z50ii or spend some more bucks to buy Canon R8 which is cheap full frame..? ( in India z50ii - 79k and R8 - 104k ) Can you please suggest one for photography...? Love from India❤
Still better than most apsc sensors on the market. It hasn't aged at all for me. 20.9 mpx is a perfect number of pixels for a apsc camera, the pixel density is equivalent to 45mpx on a FX camera.
You can temperature/tint tune all the white balance presets in all Nikon bodies if you like ... Taylors "too blue" work around is kind of a kluge ... maybe he is unaware of the deeper level WB customization on hand ? Personally when I look at his wedding work "for me" he tends to over expose and his skin tones are too "orange"
Man, hitting hard with the Underoath reference.... This camera looks nice. At the same time, I feel like now with the Canon R8 being a small & budget-friendly-ish full-frame camera, it makes these admittedly nice aps-c cameras at the $1k+ price a bit of a harder sell. I have the same thought with the Sony a6700 and Fuji cameras. That said, this Z50ii does seem pretty good! I like watching these videos because I used to live just outside the K/W area.
Total disappointment. I have been a Nikon user for more than 10 years. I have a Z50 and have been using it for almost 5 years. Excellent camera! I was thinking of upgrading it to the Z50 II... but it DOES NOT have IBIS and that, for me, is unacceptable in 2024. Few native Z lenses in APS-C (the FTZ adapter should have been a "patch" for 2 or 3 years. Nikon, you no longer have excuses). And on top of that, a "new" camera without IBIS. Decided to sell my Z50 and go to Sony (cameras with more features and IBIS) and a wide variety of APS-C lenses. Bye, Nikon...
Absolutely agree! It needed IBIS given the year and competition, plus it hasn't brought fast VR lenses over from the F-mount era into Z, so in-body stabilization is needed. This Z50 ii is for beginners and not for a decent current-user update; we're getting the hot dog (Expeed 7) without the bun (IBIS). We better see a Z90.

Lack of IBIS is a little bit of a bummer, but 10 bit video in a pacakge this small is definitely nice. Hope to see all this coming to a Z30 II soon.
I hope we get a Z30 II next year.

Loved the Z50 for its size and ease of travel. I might have to add this to my bag for trips.
Good picture
Worth buy the Z50 or i shall wait this mark 2? I'm going into vacation next month so...
If cash isn't the problem, you should go with Z50ii since it is using Expeed 7. Good jump in performance from Expeed 6.
Nikon made a camera capable of taking photos in 2024?! It's incredible!
First Like from Indonesia; yet the good news are, there are Z Mount lenses, there are value-for-money lenses available in 2024
There are some Viltrox lenses that are great for the money
I can’t believe they didn’t update this sensor.

@@andrzejjaniak6849 .I ve been saying this, 24mpx is a sweet spot for full frame . i was thinking 20.9 must be a high density on the apsc sense
what about operator's camera?) I like color from it more
He’s a Z8 with Neutral colour profile
😶2019 Sensor, No IBIS, 20mp
•Best Lens for this Camera would be Laowa 12-24 zoom shift. Landscapes & Architecture. Viltrox 13mm, 16mm, 27mm
What is your camera bag?
Audio jack ??
If it had IBIS it would be perfect
That part about colors being too blue... so that's a problem with Nikon, isn't it?

Not a bad little camera at all, and only $1249 CDN (Body only)...wish they'd put that tally light on the Z6III.
Is color moir an issue on that camera due to no AA filter?
Certainly can be, in my experience with the sensor.
shutter speed edge 1/4000? crap if so

20.9 Megapixels?😅
the addition of digital zoom for video is cool. damn, they need to add that to the zf. the zf is an amazing video cam too.

I think the R8 kinda fools a lot of people. It’s overhyped and has some pretty crucial flaws.
Prob my web cam body in my case.

Canon, Nikon save better things for their full frame, you better switch brand.
Yep. I'll go to Sony (more options in APS-C cameras and lenses).
