I really want light side Episode III Anakin but that’s going for like $800 on the aftermarket. Might end up picking this guy up because it looks freaking awesome too. Just would be slightly inaccurate alongside my Phase 2 clones.
Edit: I did end up getting this figure and I am so glad I did. Amazing shelf presence and looks great next to my clones even if it’s not 100% accurate.
Planning to grab STAP Anakin. Would probably choose dark side Anakin of the three if all things were equal but the poseability of this one is undeniable

Got mine this past Saturday and he's an awesome figure. It took a little patience getting him just right on the STAP, but well worth it. Got to borrow one or two of your poses, they are marvelous!!! Bring on more Clone Wars figures please Hot Toys.

Ordered the normal version after debating it for a few months, and Anakin is without a doubt my favorite. I missed the ROTS light side and dark side. I wasn't gonna miss this one by any means, cause this is the fun begins with collecting hot toys.
I couldn't stop laughing when seeing the 2 battle droids on the vehicle at 14:20 Great poses not only with the droids but also with Anakin and Rex.
Hey Ryan! You know I preordered the STAP version but decided to cancel and get the standard one instead. I knew I'd never use the STAP so figured I save the money. I agree, this is one cool Anakin figure. I have the dark side Anakin (he was the second Hot Toys figure I purchased) but I really like this one. I think it's the shorter hair. Can't wait to get mine.
totally understand. the STAP definitely takes up a log of room as well
I am getting this figure because of this video so thank you. I am a huge fan of your channel. I finally finished installing the detof ikea shelves and the lighting. My first figure I displayed was iron man mark 85 end games and it looks phenomenal. I have 21 sideshow figures never opened and now after 3 years collecting here comes the fun. I just completed a dedicated home theater and the collection display is the showcase people want to see. Jedha you are the man.
will probebly have to pick this Anakin up since they're giving us so many 501st troopers and I'll need a Jedi to lead them and this Anakin will be it since I was to late tot the party for the light/dark side Anakin

Can't wait to get this. Next to snowspeeder Luke, my most anticipated figure. I wish the on/off switch for the STAP was external, to make it easier to flip the switch.

I'm definitely gonna have to get this. I once saw ROTS dark side Anakin in a shop like a month before I started collecting Hot Toys. I went back to the shop hoping it was still there but unfortunately it wasn't. Also hoping we get 20th Anniversary AOTC Anakin.
He's a good looking figure and an easy buy if you haven't got an Anakin,but I have the darkside version which I prefer out of the 3 versions.
I passed on the STAP,just got the figure with poncho. Really hoping we will get General Kenobi too.
Find the costume detail a little bland on this Anakin. I'll stick with lightside probably. Lightside also just goes better with Rex and Ahsoka cause that's what he wore in season 7. But like many say, great option if you have no Anakin

yep, lightside works for any display-can be posed with Obi-Wan fighting Dooku, against Obi-Wan, or in a Clone Wars display. If a collector can have only one Anakin, that's the one to have.
Ordered this (2nd batch) and can't wait for it... but I got the Anakin only version (no stap and no poncho). Will look amazing with Rex and Ahsoka.
I ordered this from Sideshow because I had a large number of reward points, only $250 all in. May take forever to arrive but will be fun to display next to my other STAP w/ battle droid.
Anakin's "Clone Wars" battle garb is one of my favourite SW outfits ever. Hope to see him in action with it in the Obi-Wan series (Which I believe we might because of the release of this figure)
Stitching on center left “lapel” is looking rather odd on your copy. Not shown on the prototype or pre-order pictures..? Could’ve made it a bit more subtle, maybe used another color on the lining. Otherwise a cool figure. Great review, Ryan.
I’m displaying an akin by himself, the STAP is off to the side waiting on a tan battledroid.
what a great review, I know you collect mainly star wars (and rightfully make the posing sections of those reveries more extended than others) but i’d really love these in depth posing videos with other properties. you’ve convinced me to buy this figure!

I'm going to get this Anakin Skywalker with Stap and then replace this head with the animated head sculpt with 3D printing.

@darkconcept. They already announced the Ahsoka series version of Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker not the animated version of Hot Toys Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker.

I decided to go with this anakin as the light side one is so expensive and I’ve already got a hasbro ultimate villain anakin so having this one means he looks more varied!
New artisan looks insane! Only rooted hair tends to degrade overtime…
Not even close,this figure is magnificient and i can't wait for sideshow to release it but as a big fan of Anakin,i have the other two hot toys version from the revenge of the sith and they are pretty much perfection.Dark Side Anakin is a holy grail

In hand, this is an amazing figure, photos just do not do it justice. I was really unsure - but because of the Kenobi CW - I took the plunge. It’s amazing.
The padding gives him a dad body.

Hey Ryan, just got this in the mail today. It’s my first Hottoys figure and I am stunned. It’s so awesome.
Ordered Anakin, no STAP. My first hot toys figure, very excited.
I want this but I’m not sure if I’ll get it or not. As much as I like it there are other figures coming I’d like to get that I may opt to pick up over this. I have the light side Episode III version and am happy having it to represent the character.
I think you have the better anakin and it seems hot toys is mainly focused on season 7 appearances for clone wars so you have the most accurate option available.
I wonder if they are going to sell the Stab by itself so we can buy it for the droids that way we can have 2 to 3 flying at the same time against troopers in the ground. Awesome display Tnx for the video.

Honestly I think this is the best Anakin hot toys.
I have ordered it, and it shipped today! No STAP. Very excited to have an Anakin. This will round out my collection. Just waiting on Vaughn now.

If I pick it up it’ll be Non Stap version. No space. I am waiting though for Kenobi to see what may come from it
I wish you got a better General Grievous. Cuz as I said before my general compose almost any way and he can hold all four arms up by himself and stay in that position. But I do cheat a little bit I do add a little Museum putty I put it in the holes to make it even tighter and his stand that he came with absolutely sucks so I bought a dynamic stand for him just those two things alone makes a huge difference and they're really cheap you can get both things for under 20 bucks if you're interested then you'd really be able to pose Grievous and some really dynamic poses.

Damn you, I was thinking of skipping on the droids. After seeing them on the STAP it’s a game changer.
I have to be more picky with my purchases moving forward but I think this is a must. Hopefully the deluxe won’t sell out anytime soon
I did have the Sideshow version. Can't remember if the base had more of a pose able function than this. The engines are a nice upgrade. Anyway its being sent as i went for the poncho version.
I was never getting it originally but now I’m contemplating buying it just for the STAP with the announcement we’re getting the B1 battle droid.
I think we'll see a STAP/Droid set in the future.

Revenge of the Sith Anakin will always be my favorite but this figure is awesome!!! I unfortunately had to cancel mine. :( I definitely prefer the realistic look for the Clone Wars figures over the animated look. That way you can post them with the movie figures and it won't look wonky. But I think it's really cool that Sideshow is doing the animated figures as well I prefer hot toys doing this but if not I'd like Sideshow to do a Clone Wars Darth Maul with the Mother Talzin mechanical legs. That'd probably be the only animated style figure I'd get. And I really want Hot Toys to make both Anakin and Obi Wan Padawan figures.

Got mine just a little while ago! Though I got the non STAP version because I don't have the space for it unfortunately. That being said the main goal was Anakin himself and he does not disappoint! @@Gardi93 More like shapeless looking, the cloth is not that well-tailored to accentuate the shape of his body; the ROTS version felt very similar in this regard...
