Some Background for you about the song, Paul was asked back in 1996 to record a song for a charity Christmas album and since the one he wanted too do was already recorded by someone else he said I will write my own and this was the one he wrote. He got his inspiration from White Christmas where the person cant be home for Christmas, and in this case it is Joe in prison. I would recommend you watch the re-release Paul did during our horror lockdowns where for 2 years we had no family gatherings for Christmas.
