  • Getting the frame rails painted for the R model Mack. I used marine grade grease in between the two rails in hopes that it will repel and water that may try to find its way in there. Lastly, I put the inner and outer back together. it's been a long time coming and I am extremely happy that this portion of the project is completed.

How much did it cost for the rails? I'm looking to do the same thing

I paid $1,000 for the used frame from a scrap yard. It was pure luck that I happened to see a good frame while I was looking for something completely different.

Where there is a will there is a way. Not saying it would be easy. Doubtful there would be enough room under the hood for one. I have a question as well. Not to be rude, but why in the world would you want to put a modern engine that is plagued with emissions controls, in an old truck like that? No offense, I'm genuinely curious.

@@oilfarmer706 because is in my dream to buy a old vehicle and put a new engine on it no matter that type of vehicle truck or car all way dream to have a project like that plus old engine is getting hard to find a old engine brand new 0 mileage i like the look of the old vehicles

@@pavel1809 I get that. not my cup of tea but I respect that. I don't know what engines the anthems run. But, if an R600 is the truck you are aiming for. I would imagine an MP7 engine would be your best shot at getting it to fit. Best of luck to you on your project!
