@Mickey I listen to the song regularly, so it's always summer, but now that it's getting warmer it's a very special song for me, greetings from Berlin.
To live in 83 again as a young man would be great. No culture war. No foreign people. Decency and fun work family friends and no NWO! Hell yes I will go back.
I first heard this in Aunt Ginger’s 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis in the summer of 85. The car was going through an automatic car wash. I can still feel those velour seats and navy blue interior/exterior. Air conditioner was on. I was in matching short shorts and a tank top. If you were a child of the 80s you know what they look like. Great dance song. Summer can be cruel.
My wife Penny and I would dance to this song as well as others. It looks like we all have good taste in music. Little did I know how cruel the summer would truly be. She passed away May 2020. I miss her so much. But life goes on.
Has the Summer of 2020 been a "Cruel Summer?" Still digging' this track from when I used to watch the video when I was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska from 1982 to 1985! Still got me Shaking My Head! Can't Help It! Don't want to help it! No medical assistance needed! Just the De Lorean Time Machine!
@@symphonyxXx I would sometimes go there just to play basketball. Also, I once caught a HOP from there (December, 1984) to K.I. Sawyer AFB but we had to stop, do a drop-off at Plattsburg AFB in New York first. That flight was long and the fuselage within the belly of the KC 10 was just plain cold. Cost me only $10 though. And then some $90 to catch a twin engine turbo prop plane on Republic Airlines to Detroit. After the Holidays, I flew back to Fairbanks via the comfort of civilian jetliners. That one way ticket cost me over $700. I had a great time in Alaska and soon, hope to travel there again. I left there during August of 1985.

It’s September 2024 and this 78 year young woman loves it. I’ve always said music is my heart, dancing is my soul, and the dance floor is my home. Please Prop Me Up By The Juke Box When I Die (song by Joe Diffie).
Fantastic sound! I was 20 years young in '83 and my little boy was 1 year young. He and I kind of grew up together listening to this sound. We both loved "Karate Kid" as well. Fun times and good memories. Love you Nick!
