    Sinner, Tsitsipas, and Rublev Forehand Analysis (Advanced Tennis Technique Explained)
    1. Film yourself hitting forehands and be sure you’re non-hitting hand is rising as your racket approaches the ball (and after contact as well)

    All of these Rublev forehand analysis videos I've seen have missed the most fascinating and awesome part of his forehand. His wrist break and the swing path the resulting elasticity produces. He doesn't break on the bottom and come through with a brushing U shape. He breaks on the top of his wrist and comes out of it with a somewhat logarithmic looking path that plows through the ball.

    I always thought of the non dominant elbow driving the hand up

    Is Rublev forehand backswing the same technique that use Del Potro's and not the one of Federer and Nadal (What is call the tap the dog)?¿

    BWEHHHH! Your words resonate. However, I can't believe you starting teaching at the age of 5 (24 years of coaching experience). Looking good Ryan!

    Ryan, great video. This is all right on. On a related topic, I have lately found it helpful to think about the non-dominant shoulder opening up to almost initiate the stroke and the hip turn as well. I feel I get a more total upper body stroke during the unloading/exploding phase. Of course with the legs fueling that overall combustion. Suddenly my chest feels fully engaged in the action and my follow through much longer and smoother. I guess if it works for me, great. But do you have any thoughts on that non-dominant shoulder?

      Oops. On the backhand that would be the hitting shoulder.

      The other online coach said the non dominant shoulder starts the kinetic chain. Just like you described above. Would love to hear Ryan’s take on this

      Zverev mentions the importance of the shoulder involvement like this in his Topcourt video.

    Those who disagree with Ryan on this point are probably world class athlete themselves that can't imagine many recreational players are struggling big time in their non dominant arm disconnected from the entire body rotation, I am one of them. Actually it isn't easy to learn this at all, nothing natural in terms of bringing that non dominant arm up. I have done so many reps on my Topspin Pro and can perform reasonably well in practice (raising that stupid non dominant arm) but when playing matches it still fell dead down like a corpse...Lol. But forehand felt and worked miles better when done right as thought by Ryan.

    Unconsciously my non dominant hand goes where my racket ends up. Varies from topspin vs flat shot

  • @bballah9969
    @bballah9969 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My dude the only reason the left hand is going up is due to the unloading of the kinetic chain that's all!
    Curious to know are you a Uspta certified coach?
