Hey Ryan, just wanted to thank you for all the awesome videos, they've helped me improve so much in the past few months! I stopped playing tennis 4 years ago, and just started to play in august when college started and I joined my school's tennis club. Your videos have been a great help to me, and showed me how much more I still have to learn. I've been really active in the club and I've been given the position of treasurer of my school's tennis club! I like to think a big part of that is because of how your videos helped spark my passion and joy for tennis, so thank you a lot!
I like how it's not a perfect point - the backhand approach wasn't exactly hit with the angle the SC player wanted, he had to hit a half volley - but he continued to execute his plan.
I dont agree with the short ball. I think I should put it on the opponents forhand side. Now he hit directly to the opponent and was just lucky I hit the net. If he have hit the boll on the forhand side he hit the boll (cross court) , its lower net, longer distans to the line and he hit in a direction from the opponents. 3 positive things while in this case it was just 1 possetivt thing he was at a good position at the net when the other guy return. As you said if he hit cross court he need move longer distans. Ok he still won the point but was just lucky :) The other guy should lobbed the boll by the way :)
The server gets a forehand that sets up for him near the service line and he goes cross court??? If Im hitting that shot, its dtl and I follow in. Or it's a drop shot. Am I wrong?
If you can't time a tossed ball that has dropped a couple of feet because it's moving too fast for you to strike accurately, how do you have any chance of returning hard serves?
Bc on a fast serve the ball has a ton of energy. So you hand hold the racket quite still and block it back. Which the pros do a lot. On the serve you need to hit it fast. So you need to swing fast. It’s easier to return a fast serve with a block than it is to swing really fast on a serve and hit the sweet spot when the ball is tossed 4-6 feet too high.
When returning a ball with nasty under spin, the biggest part of it is experience. You have to know exactly where it will go in order to hit it properly. If you can, try to ask somebody to bombard you with slice backhands and forehands. Other than that, it helps if you impart a lot of your own spin on the ball, so either slice or topspin depending on the situation. Hope that helps!
Because I didn’t train to be a top player. I never wanted to be a pro tennis player. I think playing tennis is boring to be honest. I think coaching is a ton of fun. I chose coaching. Not playing. Thanks!!!
I find playing boring. When I play I find myself wishing I was teaching. I’m a born teacher. I love it. That’s why I make two videos day in and day out. No other tennis channel can say that. I’m not saying my channel is better than any other channel. I’m simply saying I put out my videos than anyone else. And that’s a direct result of my love of coaching. Thanks!!
Yes. This channel needs more strategy content to better understand the game. Everyone and their mom is doing Tennis Technique videos. Getting redundant

I have a question. How do you counter under spin and you volly it.

Why arent you in the top 500 if your tactics work?
