Watch out for the Norwegian Vikings the next five years. We have a 21 year old guy who can step up and achieve great things. When he was 17 years old his records was 335 squat, 200 bench and 290 deadlift. 20 years old last year and had 420 squat, 292.5 bench and 352.5 deadlift. And Arild Hulk Haugen will be back stronger than ever, and Richard Skog and Espen Aune will give up. Espen was close to qualify for final, despite the two best Vikings were out of competition during injury. ;)
@nesrokk hey you still need to watch out for the icelandic giant Hafþór Júlíus. only been training for 3 years and has a Squat - 350 kg(770 lbs.) Raw Bench press - 230 kg(506 lbs.) Raw Deadlift - 370 kg(814 lbs.) Raw
yeah he has a great speech i watched all the episodes from his beginning to the end where he won, he's not a guy with short words he explains himself quite nicely, so he has strength and wisdom ^^
Damnnn, I watched WSM 1999-2012 yesterday; one of those he said it when he was introducing himself. I believe one of the first years before he won his first title
when you do leg presses you should not feel it at all in your back because it's all leg work. Very dangerous if you feel it in your back, watch out for that or youll snap your shit up.
I must say that this is probably best set of events in modern era WSM final. Great mixture, testing all strength capabilities of the athtetes, no weird or questionable ones! Great year 🎉 P.S. It is 2024 Take 😅
Although these men are clearly monsters and deal with hundreds and hundreds of pounds, how many push-ups or chin-ups would these men be able to do? How would they do with self body weight?
Who actually gives a damn? You could do 100 pull ups in a row and every one of these men would still dominate you easily lmao. 11 years later but I had to respond to this ridiculous comment.
@@Adam-gn5kh That person you responded to appears to be a woman lol, which makes it funnier. I agree with your comment, these guys focus on just brute strength but they are also incredible athletes. Most of the events require a ton of strength but also in a very dynamic manner, which is quite different than just static powerlifting/weightlifting movements. If they dropped a good amount of weight, most of these competitors would probably have been excellent at American football, Rugby, etc.
Best WSM ever in my opinion are: 1. The dominator 2. The viking 3. Magnusson 4. Big Kaz 5. Big Z My favourites are: Poundstone, Jon-Pall & Mishy But Congrats to Brian Shaw you are a champion!!!
I know the difference of kg compared to pounds. Now he is 21 and his personal best is 445 kg in squat, 330 kg in bench and 367.5 kg in deadlift. And i think that you Myles is just a dreamer. Show me some results online then. ;)
@MrHreidar95 Icelandic strongman are always very good. But Romanian Pirjol will also be strong in the future. Only 20 years old. I see on your facts that Hafdor is strong in deadlift that is important in Strongman, so i wish him good luck. Wish all the best for the Nordic Countries. :)
I would love to see how many thousand pounds these guys could leg press.. I'm 5"8 160lbs and can get just about 500lbs before I feel like my back is going to snap
Is this world strongest man? it looks like its about the man with the most stamina not the one with the most strength. They should change the way they setup this BS or change the name of it ..
the guy show boated too hard doing 10 reps of the logs, ended up losing the final event for the title. who knows, maybe if he wasn't as fatigued from doing 2 extra log lifts he could have won the final. I bet it haunts him every day * damn what if I didnt do those 2 extra log lifts * * what if *
Why are they all white? Where are Brazilians? Asians? Arabics? Somoans/Islanders? Black dudes? Africa? I'd like to see more nationalities compete in this soon.
It's incredible that 6 men loaded a 200kg stone. Just a few years ago the 150kg stone was beyond the capability of most WSM competitors.
Now 200 kg is a warm up weight for many...
Savickas v Shaw battles were the best. Two stand up champs
savickas probably regretted doing those extra logs
Mike put us all on notice in this final. Alas a great man has passed away. Too soon. The sport won't be the same without you mike.
When/How did he die? I wasn't aware
+alexan cinar Don't know if you know now, but he died of a long time of steroid abuse

damn i just spent all day watching every video. sunday well spent :D
thanks for posting this!

Zydrunas is the strongest man ever but my favorite strongman ever is Brian Shaw otherworldly strength along with a gentle heart huge fan of big Shaw
Homer Simpson eats donuts for extra strength.
arnold strongman classic is all aboute brute strength and we all know who rules that show
@nesrokk hey you still need to watch out for the icelandic giant Hafþór Júlíus.
only been training for 3 years and has a
Squat - 350 kg(770 lbs.) Raw
Bench press - 230 kg(506 lbs.) Raw
Deadlift - 370 kg(814 lbs.) Raw
pretty good prediction
Very symbolic. The strong man sport is so fantastic.

Brian Shaw would've made a beastly offensive tackle
It's good to see Brian Shaw be so down to earth and modest in his interview. Congrats, Can't wait for this year!

The Kaz, Big Z and Shaw are the best of WSM ever
Laurence Shahlaei is half Arab (Iranian)

I feel like this truck pull is almost too long. Not too many events take more than a minute.
Fucks sake his name is Savickas
thanks
btw, the ''s'' comes from the ''c'' in his name
Those WSM bastards, the first or second event always tears the callus off half the competitors hands.
"Oh he's just rocking and rolling a wee bit" "how much has the English man have left" Hollands has to be in everyone's top 3
It is, Zydrunas says ''Savisckas'' himself
upload 2012 finals plz..:(

I said that same thing before i even watched the rest of the video.
It won't happen til after it airs in December
Why is Laurence Shahlaei eliminated ? (24:30)
the "c" is not pronounced like a "k"...that's why, not the same pronunciation as in the states or UK
TAKE YOUR GRIPS!!!!!!!
"We know from previous experiences Shaw is very good at carrying things."
Класс, всем спасибо.
Proud to be Lithuanian :) Zydrunas Savickas your the best :P Good luck!

@kolbiez i know that now he became a cage fighter go look up hes fights

Those are great numbers for an eigth grader, to be fair.

but my family's always been stronger with lower body stuff than upper...
I like how it's a bit more competitive now, was sick of Pudz winning year after year.
I would love to see how many thousand pounds these guys could leg press.. I'm 5"8 160lbs and can get just about 500lbs before I feel like my back is going to snap
9 girly men have watched this video

Why are they all white? Where are Brazilians? Asians? Arabics? Somoans/Islanders? Black dudes? Africa? I'd like to see more nationalities compete in this soon.
