Many in the comments section mention how Brian could have won if he didn't mess up the first event. But Brian got two breaks. In the whisky barrel carry, Brian dragged the barrels over 10 meters to the finish line. He should not have been credited with finishing this event as it against the rules to drag the barrel, it should be carried. The second break was in the deadlift, where he had the bar barely above the knee and never locked out. He should not have been credited with 11.

Brian Shaw is a hero of mine. He is a champion in strongman and in life. Congrats to Big Z on a great win. Really cool to see Shaw not gripe and complain like has happened with other competitors. He just immediately shows respect and congratulates Z. These guys are legends

It's cool to see Brian Shaw's performance on here. He's messed up a lot in the finals but instead of making excuses he learns from it, and has become 4x World's Strongest Man and has his own strongman competition!

They just blatantly made that platform for the loading race too small. You shouldn't have to go around the side or stack them on top of each other, that's just adding a weird angle to the event that has nothing to do with strength or stamina.

People love to go back and forth about how certain comments and commentary have ages after so many years. I think the thing that has aged the most poorly is the idea that anyone would want to win a trip to Florida.

Imagine having to compete in a deadlift event with Shaw, Thor, Felix, JF, and Rauno.

Man, the way Brian handled those dumbbells... He really truly meant it this year.

The platforms in those times... so badly thought out and constructed. Either not enough space or way too high.

Zavickaz was the true champion in this one. Shaw dragged the farmers walk barrels over the finish Line and he didnt lock out the 11th rep in the dead lift.
