- This Wing is for Advanced wing flyers. I have another build video for a KFm-2 44" wing which is more appropriate for wing novices.
I will also be doing a KFm-2 30" (slower) wing video which is more novice appropriate.
Introduction to the "How to build a Flying Wing" series. This is a 10+ part series on how to build your own flying wing. Parts list below:

in a flying wing in which direction should the propeller moveclockwise or anti clockwise
Do you ever sale your wings after your build, I like your wings like the KFM-2 and if so how much? Have started with flying Zagi for years and want to up grade. Thank Tim
Thanks for asking Tim. I haven't sold any of my wings. I've only built them for myself (and my son and brother in law) 🙂
nice vid! could i use this wing without a motor for the slope, too?
I would use a KFm-2 version for sloping (it's lighter and seems to have more lift). Maybe even go larger like the FPV44 KFm-2 version. It is certainly an interesting idea worth a try. Without a motor and large ESC, this would be really inexpensive to build :-)
If I had a 12ft wing how much speed would be necessary to fly 350lbs
hey can us please send me a link for servo push rods,,,,( better if they are from hobbyking),,,,,as im not getting which one to buy
vansh Sharma I don't buy mine from hobbyking. Lots of people use "music wire" or "piano wire". I use stake flags like these from home depot. www.homedepot.ca/product/stake-flags-glo-orange/967539
with the 3000kv (ntm prop drive) can i use a 50A esc
vansh Sharma The page says 35A-45A, but it also says max current 55A, so I would go 55A or larger.
if you saw the link can you tell me how much thrust can it create
vansh Sharma Watch this video. Ed has done all of the work outlining the capabilities of this motor. th-cam.com/video/Xy8az2-yyiQ/w-d-xo.html
do you have the plans in a pdf or any file format nice wing
Thanks for the comment. The plans are at 8:02 and 8:11, but they aren't really that complete, they only give you the basic dimensions. You can pause the video and take a screen snapshot. When I want to build one of these, that's what I do :-)
What is the flight time you get?Could I increase the flight time by using a single 2200 mah battery?
To be honest, I don't remember. After a few flights I did end up using a single battery, found it easier to balance the plane with it. It will fly fine with a 2200 3s. A 2200 4s will take a little more skill to get it in the air. The plane is heavy (big motor, big esc). Once it's flying it is fine.
Some average/approximate flight time?Thank you for your response.
is it important that the prop should be 7x5 "r" can it be the normal ones
vansh Sharma This depends on what you are using for a prop adapter. If you are using a threaded prop adapter then it is sort of important. If you are using a non R prop on a pusher, then it will be spinning in the opposite direction (loosening the prop adapter). You can get around it by using thread-lock (loctite), but then it makes it difficult to change props if you break one. You are better off to the "R" i.e. reverse/pusher props in these wings.
UnlimitedVertical so the motor & the prop should move in counter clockwise movement while seeing from the back of the flying wing
How to make the wing slow? so as to use it for aerial mapping and fpv?
I would build a larger wing than this one, maybe the FPV44 or FPV60. I have a build video for the FPV44 and FPVTrond has an excellent video for the FPV60. If it is your first wing I would go with the KFm-2 style. For a motor, look for one at around 1100kv and a larger prop. This will give you the thrust you need without the high top speed. Here is a link to my FPV44 build video. The techniques used in the FPV30 build video still apply, just the dimensions and power system need to change.
Okay thanks, do u think flying wing is easy to build and fly, cause I only fly multirotors :)
Rahul Vyas
Easy to build, yes. I would say for a first fixed wing something with wing tip dihedral is a litlte easier to fly (Hawk Sky, Sky Surfer/Bixler). Not saying that you couldn't fly it, I personally have more trouble flying multirotors than every type of airplane :-) The nice thing about a scratch build like these is that they are very tough and even if you did crash hard it's usually only a new prop and a couple of dollars worth of foam to repair.
майка отличная! ))

vansh Sharma I've never used that ESC.
well,,,till now i am thankfull that u have answered to all my queries
,,,thanks you :)

vansh Sharma I think that would work fine.
thanks sir!
www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21481__NTM_Prop_Drive_28_36_2200KV_696W.html?strSearch=ntm%202200 can i use a 7x5 prop with this
vansh Sharma On a 3s, yes. On a 4s it might be a bit much.
hey pls see this link and tell me if i can use a 7x5 propeller www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12919__D2826_6_2200kv_Outrunner_Motor.html
vansh Sharma I use either a 6x4 or a 7x5 prop with that motor. I've never had a problem, but you should know that I generally do not fly "full out" for more than 15 seconds at a time (usually when climbing, or for fast passes).
UnlimitedVertical what do you mean by """" generally do not fly "full out" for more than 15 seconds at a time (usually when climbing, or for fast passes). """
vansh Sharma I only go full throttle for short bursts. That means that the ESC/Motor are not stressed for long periods of time. It is generally how I fly, so maybe that's why I have never burned out one of those motors using a 7x5 prop.
