Procreate.
Artstudio Pro
Hi Will, don't you use the linearity curve anymore? I saw that you didn't make any more videos @willpatersondesign
Fresco 🥰I just love using it and the results are great.

Super helpful, thank you! Would love to see an in depth look at how you use various features in fresco!
Linearity move looks dope!!
No clip studio paint, kind of surprise. That one also good too!
Clip Studio Paint with simple mode is a great tool too.
Seriously? No Artstudio Pro that is pretty much a photoshop on ipad (without vector layers that are said to arrive in next update)? are you for real?
I bought that app and had to delete it, photoshop on iPad is not a great idea, also the brushes are really and I mean REALLY bad, the worst I’ve seen on iPad
@@aoterou then you have no idea how to set them up since they're more versatile than in Procreate (and wet brushes work infinitely better). photoshop on ipad is a great idea when it's optimized to be a drawing app, which ASP is
One thing about Linearity Curve that’s a bummer is you can only have a certain amout of drawings and then you have to pay for the pro verison :/
But it is a great app! Thanks for this video, I’m starting my animation career and was looking for better apps to use on the iPad for it
I love illustrator for iPad, but it glitches out so bad I can't use it anymore.
Why learning graphic design by own self is so hard
Trueeeeee!😅
here's a secret brother, ANY discipline worth knowing WILL BE HARD. Keep at it! Do it everyday, good things will happen.
@@pookiepats thanks for the advice
@@kartikproduction13 hell yea brother
@@pookiepats any advice to practically use design theory
Is it even needed for web design?
I use Sketchbook Pro. Hands down!
Same here! I feels just amazing
"it is hat good, and we were paid to say that bit😂
Linearity незручний якщо порівнювати з Illustrator. Багато функцій недоопрацьовано, деякі основні далеко сховані. А підписка зараз дуже дорога( Єдиний плюс це працювати на iPad.
🎉🎉🎉
When Wacom tablets are becoming mousepad 😅
Procreate. There's no contest. Nothing comes close.
can't agree less, there's barely anything i like in procreate, switched to Artstudio Pro after fighting procreate for a month
Fresco
@@pastuh Thank you very much for the suggestion. But besides Fresco is a bit of a different beast, I don't use Adobe products (not even free ones). I mean, I used it professionally in the past, in every company (currently a freelancer) I worked at as a graphic designer and 2D/3D game artist. I know their apps upside down, Photoshop is second nature to me (used it professionally from 1995 till 2013). But now I can afford to avoid them... It's just personal preference: I avoid subscriptions (or I'll keep doing so until it's impossible), and I heavily dislike the Adobe's move with AI (in regards AI itself and the Adobe stock art used for that: artists did not allow such usage in the licenses), while Procreate devs have taken the strongest stance in the whole industry to defend artists in the AI big issue. I'm not an Apple/iOS fan, *at all*, but just for how good the app is (it really is, objectively; many things they did should have been implemented on desktop apps) and such unique take, I'd be inclined to buy an iPad Pro, just for Procreate. Also, currently I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, and for painterly artwork, ArtRage Vitae is IMO not as good as Rebelle 7 Pro on the desktop, but is good enough for that purpose. Anyway, Procreate is not as much about mimicking traditional media as ArtRage Vitae, Rebelle or Corel Painter (and to a point, Fresco, but it is a rather more basic app than any of this). Procreate is more of a general painting software (can be used for traditional media output, though).
As a curiosity, According to the Expresii developer (he told this to me, indeed) , the Fresco base code for oil painting comes from an earlier development made by him, while he worked at Microsoft, many years ago. He was a pioneer of such technology. For how the whole things of patents work, it passed from one hand to another, and it ended in Adobe, which integrated it on Fresco. For a number of reasons, I'd rather prefer to try that once the Expresii's developer makes oil painting possible in his Windows app... but without enough funding, for now he is focused on Eastern style watercolors, only (it's an amazing app doing that, if one is interested in such thing).
Artstudio Pro is a lot better imo
Hey, man! I have a question for you.
I now have an iPad (9th) that I draw on using Procreate. I like the app and am starting to get used to it. One advantage is that I can find many tutorials on TH-cam about it. The problem, in a sense, is the tablet. Not the tablet itself but the iOS which after almost 2 years I'm used to but still prefer android. Basically the tablet is a strong argument why I would never get an iPhone. Anyway, the point is that I'm tempted by Samsung tablets (Samsung Tab S9 Fe, or Ultra). Unfortunately, Procreate doesn't exist on Android. The alternative would be Sketchbook. Sketchbook I've just opened a bit and that's it. Have you used it? Is Procreate superior?
Naa I don’t support subscription apps
