I first saw this setup on JustinTheDJ's page and I LOVED it! Now I see you rocking it and I LOVE yours too! You and Justin have inspired me to do something similar and freshen up my setup for the 2024 wedding season. Stay tuned. I should be revealing my new wedding setup next week. Congrats JBook!!!
I had the same problem with my Windows laptop, and as soon as I switched to a MacBook Pro, I never had any more problems. (hiccups) The same thing happened to a colleague of mine who is also a DJ. But I really liked your setup, congratulations! JBook
they gave the kids toys!!!!! and that lady bumped the table and boogied quick didn't see her since lol and this playlist please share brotha!!!! fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hae the issue on my mac book, it was the usb port. Had them switched out and solved it. I don't use computers anymore as I am using prime go and prime 4, but I take the computers for backup. Building my own dj furniture, which is similar to this one which I like. But i want to be able to break my down for transport. Keep em dancing
Love your videos and all the content you've been putting out. As for the cutout problem, there are 2 things that you might want to check: 1) As one user commented, switch out the USB cable. They have been known to go bad over time. 2) Check the USB port itself on your laptop. If the internal board for it goes bad, that will definitely give you intermittent errors. I had a similar problem for my DMX controller (controlled by a trusted laptop that with no recent updates) where the USB transmitter would cut out once in a while, shutting down my lights. After a bunch of trial and error, I found it was the USB port itself. The infrequency of the problem made it hard to find with any other USB device (eg. mouse). If you have the chance to in a long session at home or at a gig, swap out the laptop for your spare and see if the problem continues.
Sick setup! Those light sabres freaked me out haha. Did a Corporate event once and they brought beach balls for the kids and they were spiking them as hard as they could and kept hitting my setup and laptop. Nerve wracking lol. You killed it as always man!
Sounds like a midi issue. I had a similar issue back in the days and I had conflicting midi drivers. Removed a lot of midi drivers and it fixed the issue
If your using usb cables controller to laptop make sure they have the ferrite bead/ring on the cable,i used one cable without the ferrite and controller/laptop misbehaved.
Mac Pro.. The hiccups could be your USB cables. Check on if that if they’re gold plated, the usb jack/connection must be gold.. If the usb jack is chrome or Silver plated, your USB Cables must match the material.. Also Air Spray your and vacuum your cooling fans..
As per that problem you had with the music stopping, are you streaming music or is it on a hard or flash drive? Do you have your firewalls on? Maybe you need to turn them off. I am aware of some settings on PC's that you can set so that the USB Ports don't hibernate. Look for setting that may be shutting down your USB ports prematurely. If you're using a PC then that will be in the system control panel settings. I'm not sure about where it would be on a Mac. I like your setup though, it's very clean. Now all you need is a white laptop. I guess white speakers will be nice too! Another thing, make sure your laptop is not set to go into hibernation or sleep mode. Make sure it's in full power mode.
@@DjJayBook Yeah, I should have also mentioned that buffer latency in Serato. I had an issue with the sound quality once and adjusting the buffer latency fixed it. I recall having some issues when using the High Resolution setting in Serato too. Once I unchecked High Resolution, my problem went away. That was with my DELL Latitude 7240 (i7 6th gen.) and Numark NVII. I also have a Numark NS7III & NS7II with a DELL Precision 7520. I like having the Numark Dashboards. Even though my computers are older models, they handle things almost flawlessly. Tweaking the settings can be the key. Glad you were able to figure your cutout problem out. It's stressful enough trying to "move the crowd". When/If I start Dj ing again, I plan to have a vackup mix ready to quickly play from my phone headphone jack, just in case my controller or laptop encounters a long glitch.
Looks great but it's almost like doing double the work with facade hiding the stuff we still need. I still enjoy my space between me a that drunk dude or lady. I went through that stopping thing I got a Mac and never looked back.
Just allows me to stand out from competitors and I can regulate the drunks cause theres nothing to lean on and all drinks will be removed and not tolerated ! Lol!
Very nice.. I have my DJ furniture out in the open and people constantly bumps it.. Almost had a child run into it as she was running and looking behind her.. It is perfect for small spaces but there’s always that But 😅.. Also the Smooth blends are my style but some crowds do not appreciate it.. And would eventually go crazy after I start jumping all over the place like a child playing music on TikTok
love the setup but a booth/stand like that id feel that people would be around it and bumping into it, hence i like my enclosed booth! it does look v cool tho!
Check out the usb cables. Try using the sound switch by its self. See if works. SRT is older so that will always work your PC might be running something. Check the background programs close whatever you don’t use
Man that is Nice, Now I am ready to make the switch!!! Lookl at Cha!!! Man that is nice, did you build / make that yourself, Send link to builder / where you purchase it, ..... it's time for make the switch now after seeing you setup!!
Two versions you can purchase. With or without the breakdown case. I got the one with out cause I had a friend build me a rolling case to house it in while its put together and for storage
Brother Jay, that was a beautiful set up. I DJ weddings myself and I feel you on making the evening seamless. I've definitely had a couple hiccups myself but I respect the fact that you kept your head up. All we can do as DJs is work harder going forward to try to prevent any from happening in the future. I just happen to see your channel today. Keep up the good work my man.
Jus a M1 MacBook Air dedicated to djiing, this will be way enough and a lot cheaper :-) I use a MacBook Pro (i7 with 32Go memory model just prior to the M1) but that’s my everyday working horse computer and have an old 2013 as backup. I will move to the M2 for working horse and have the 2020 for backup. BUT if I had to buy a laptop for djiing only, I’d get the the M1 Air.
I had that same issue before I converted to Mac with my windows system. Check your settings on the computer happening. See if it is doing an automatic maintenance or update.. Good Luck 🍀 Beautiful System, did you get cases with it?
Nice setup. Congratulations ! I have the S11 + Technics and Phase and was thinking of going that route or the Pioneer CRSS12. I look into the Stereo T for some time, but I might go with a made to measure furniture made by a wood craftsman. Do you carry it with the gears altogether in a big flightcase ?
Borrow someone’s MacBookPro (and do a test set) I spent the first 8 years riding hard for PC; but eventually I couldn’t keep up with driver updates/windows updates, and everything a pc does that plays havoc with my hardware… and I know my way around both OS. I just joined the empire and haven’t had to think about it since
I love the setup, but what do you do with limited space? I've been in venues that simply did not have room for furniture and a facade to hide the rack.
Nothing I can say that so many others already said. Nice and clean! Where did you get the labels made with your logo firbthe headphones? Thanks for another cool video!
man thats beautiful.I have a Rane setup. The Rane 12mk2s and the Rane 72mk2 but no skins just as they came.I did get some Decksavers though because everyone treats my dj booth like a storage space. This looks fab

Sorry , this setup looks nice but it doesn’t fit to you. I mean, it looks a little tiny for you 😉. And I am not comfortable that people can see my feet. Specially wearing sport shoes at a wedding. I prefer the older setup you had.
Preciate the feedback! I actually enjoy the height of the stand ( and I was extremely worried about that). The Rane 12’s are perfect for my massive hands as well. As far as my feet go I don’t mind the athletic shoes, clients dig it. Still gonna use the other setups but nice to have options

It actually came down to the usb cable and the buffer latency on serato. Once those were changed the problem went away

did you check the drop out log? I don"t run anything fancy 12s and s9. Im usually the error thou!!! after all the years.

About your lag on your mixer try optimizing your power settings and hard drive not to idle down and know screen saver turn off.
Another great Idea

where those light sabers from!!! LOVE Them!
Were you using Serato DJ Stems feature on either deck? If so, that might be the problem which ties into computer specs.
nice setup! can this booth work for tall guys? im 6'8
6’3 (me) yes , 6’8 (you) probably not. 😂🤣
Hey boss. Great setup. Where did you get that clear laptop stand?
Came with the stand . From Hoerboard
@@DjJayBook thanks

No disrespect but considering All of your equipment is Great and Top Notch, the HP laptop is the only weak link. Good luck sir.
None taken. I may just agree with you if my solutions don’t work. Stay tuned
Awesome and clean my man. Just curious where you are located and how much you charged for this wedding?
Columbia SC, any where from $1600 - $3200

If it’s an apple MacBook try turning off your wifi and Bluetooth . I was having same trouble with my mac
I did give this a try. That wasn’t it
