Fera "Snail lady" defeats her adult victims by taking their souls and putting them in her shell. She was a folk tale of the early 1900's that parents would use to advise their children not to go in the woods or take food from strangers. "Fera'll getcha! Don't eat the pie!". For years parents have gone missing in those woods, looking for their lost children, only to be found wandering aimlessly or dead with rose petals on them. She invites them in for pie and tea so they can talk and then she takes their grieving souls or whatnot. Kids go on the hat, their grieving parents go in the shell.
When she's out on the town she covers her shell with a skirt

What if..
When she traps their soul in her shell they loose their will or something ,and have some kind of eternal life.
Or they could be trapped in their minds so their soul could be mind controlled and when she is in her shell she talks to them like mannequins..
While being mannequins in their mind the moment replays..

So my dad asked me who my inspirations are (he does caricature) and I showed him this channel. He really loves how you sketch, the way you really slow down while you draw and really plan your art. You truly are a great artist through many people’s eyes, Waffles :3

*THE TALE OF THE CRYING ROSES*
Beyond the village, in a forest where no child dared to go, layed an old cabin. Inside the cabin, lived a creature. A hideous creature, indeed. No doubt the children ran in fear. Wouldn't you if you were to meet a snail lady? An evil lady, she was. Preparing the most delicious pies to lure the children in. But these weren't ordinary pies. No, they were cursed. Anyone to swallow a peice of her pie would become a rose; a rose that was trapped on the hat of the snail lady for eternity. You may ask, why would she do such wicked deeds? The answer lies in her past. As a child, when she would try to pick roses with other children, they turned her away, calling her an ugly witch. This caused her to have deep hatred for all kids. She spent the rest of her life tring to find a way to get revenge on on all children everywhere. One day, two innocent children, Henry and Jane, were walking in their village. The two siblings suddenly smelt the most delicious thing they had ever smelt in their lives. Following their noses, they found themselves in the forest. They came to a hault as soon as they saw where the smell was coming from. The snail lady was sitting on a nearby rock, an evil grin spread across her face, holding the pie in her hands. "Come, children" hissed the snail lady. The children reluctantly stepped towards the lady. "Don't be afraid. Take a peice." she whispered. The children held out their hands as the snail lady slid them two perfectly cut peices of pie. Henry and Jane both took a bite of the pie. Oh, how wonderful it tasted. A sensation of wonder and perfection rushed through them. But that feeling only lasted for a mere moment. There was a sudden blinding light, followed by an ear peircing scream. A rose sat on the ground, where Jane should have been. Before Henry could swallow his pie, he spit it out in shock. The snail lady laughed evily, picking up the rose and placing it on her hat. "What have you done with my sister?" exclaimed Henry. The snail lady smirked slyly . "You mean this rose?" she responded with great delight. "You mean all those roses on your hat are..." The snail lady smiled, "Yes. They are all children who have been foolish enough to eat my pie."
"You monster!" shrieked Henry.
"Eat your pie." she responded bitterly.
"Give me my sister!" he shouted.
"Swallow your pie, you little devil!"
And just like that, Henry snatched the hat off of the snail lady's head. He ran as fast as he could through the trees, along the river, and all the way to his village. Henry was too quick for the snail lady to catch up with. Once the snail lady reached the edge of the forest, she couldn't go any further, for she would be spotted. She gave up. But she seeked revenge more than she ever had before.
Henry, usure what to do with the hat, did the only thing he could think of. He scooped the flowers up, one by one, and planted them into fresh soil. Suddenly, a second blinding light shone. When Henry opened his eyes, he saw all the children who were once roses. Jane ran over to him at once, and greeted him with a hug. Among the children of the village, Henry was considered a hero.
Inside the forest, where eeriness lurked, was the snail lady. The moment the roses became children, the snail lady dropped dead never to be seen again.
The children decided to give their foe a name: Ferocious the Snail Lady. The village was then quiet. It was still. Free from fear. Like it should always be.
You may not believe this story, but I assure you, it's true. I would know, it's what I lived through.

Right??? I love historically accurate fashion. I love all the bustles and corsets and petticoats, chemises... Hats and hairdos and dresses. Fashion in different time periods never ceases to excite me.

Ooo what if the eyes you see on her are like.. fakes? And the hidden antennas actually are the eyes? Also, you don’t really.. see snails mouths? I can’t ever see the mouth until they eat. So what if on the bottom of her chin is her real mouth, so the whole face is fake? I like that idea.
@@MistressCozy interesting thought. But I didn't really mean my comment referring to the drawing itself. I wrote it because she referred to them as "antennas" instead of, you know, eyes, which seemed weird to me and kind of implied that she may not know that those are eyes (might not be the case but that is what I got out of it). Also, I know that many people don't know this so just wanted to spread a bit of knowledge.

So maybe she’s an alien who is looking for a new world to live in and when she lands she tries to blend in with an animal and the first thing she finds is a snail but then a group of kids try to kill her by playing with salt and that’s why she hates them, so before the snail body dies she transfers herself into one of those kids and as she grows older physically she starts to develop snail body parts, and then after suffering she want to go back to her planet but can’t because she has lost her kid spirit from all the bullying about her snail parts and as a way to get that child spirit she takes kids and turns them into flowers with her pies, and she things she’s got enough kids but she notices that when they get older ( now faster because they’re flowers ) they loose that child’s spirit and has to go for more and more until it becomes a vicious cycle, so once she tries to steal a little boy without knowing his sister was there and she tries to throw the pie to the floor and she gets really angry. Then when they’re about to run away from her he hears the other kids voices and risks his life to safe them but survives and steals her hat and both of them run and leave while she dies slowly turning into a snail and then to dust. The kids plant those roses back and they grow slowly into real children again. ❤️❤️

I was thinking mantis from guardians of the galaxy
So I didn't know what to draw and this video came along and I got the brilliant idea to to do everything you didn't do (male human neon colors) and now I have something to do and experiment with I think I'm gonna have looots of fun

There is a podcast called “Something Scary” they also have a TH-cam channel... I mention this because this sounds similar to a story they’ve done. It’s with evil fairy’s instead but in the end the little girl turns into a rose along with the other thousands of people who’ve died before her, telling people to leave with there scent.

I always love coming back to this video to get inspiration, and I remember watching it with almost awe when it first came out. I love your style so much, it’s the reason I was able to get through my first beginning years of terrible drawings, to get to your style level almost

When she was wondering about how to incorporate the snail part, I was thinking a greenish-bluish lady with eyes glowing milky bluish-white, kind of misty-pearly, a skeletal and spindly frame, with long legs, arms, fingers, and claws, hunched with a snail shell on her back, bony and flat on the torso without any curves like many nature-spirit drawings, basically only really female in name, and long, kind of matted navy-black hair hanging down in front of her, arms slightly outstretched (like just the forearm outstretched mostly) with hands hanging down, showing how long and spindly her fingers are, jaws parted, teeth glinting in moonlight, and slits and a slight protrusion for a nose, scraps of cloth that were once clothing hanging off her frame, a long tail extending behind, and she’s standing in the mouth of a cave that would be pitch-dark if not for eerie little purple and blue lights, like maybe fungi, glowing and splattered across the was like paint, and along the edge of the scene a blizzard raging outside

The name "Ferocious" sounds like the first part of a Roald Dahl story villain's name, like, "Ferocious Ms. Fendleton" or something of that nature

I have no artistic talent when it comes to drawing - I really love watching these videos, they are so impressive to me
There once was a young girl named Fiona, the children at school teased and bullied her, she turned to the snails for friends they taught her to be evil and turned her appearance into a snail she started baking pies as a hobby, it was her greatest talent.
Once she was older she started collecting roses but once she ran out she decided to start making children into roses using her delicious pies, the other children started calling her Ferocious
she put the rose children in her hat, one day two young children stole her hat and without her precious roses she crumbled into sadness and died.

(edit: this literally could be an Edwardian era fairy tale. It has the moral of not taking food from strangers. also, i think in that time men really hated bustles and compared women wearing them to beetles so that kind of works with the snail lady. idk but i think it’s really cool.)
