P&O Aurora is P&O's smallest and oldest ship, but we think she's a little beauty, full of charm. What's your thoughts?
I've only sailed Britannia and Iona on Pando. Seeing how much you love this older lady, I'm tempted to give her a try. Happy belated anniversary ! 🙂
She’s a lovely little ship! Small compared to those you been in, but had a whole different feel! She does short cruises so worth a look! Thank you 🙏
Happy belated guys. We just been on for august bank hols. Amazing ship. Loved it from start. Easy to board. Everyone so happy. Loved the staff, so nice all of them. Loved the restaurant buffet. We didn’t have the drinks package as although we were with 2 others the drinks were great. Pimms was great. You can take bottle wine on each. We had inside. Was ok you can put telly on to see the weather outside. But if we did 7 days would get a sea view or balcony. The bathroom was great. The shower items were good quality. We do MSc yacht club. We were surprised how lovely it was. The restaurant was really good. The extra on the menu is worth doing. We ate in restaurant every breakfast and evening, but went buffet lunch. So loved the staff, so nice. Fridge is cold so didn’t need ice. No children, and to be honest a lot of younger people on. Disco every night, quizzes, we did bingo. Always somewhere to sit. Wish more ships were like this. Nearly 1 staff to 2 passengers and it shows. Restaurant staff were lovely. Will definitely do 7 day cruise.
That inside cabin looked pretty convenient for an inside cabin. It's in the consideration list. Great to see Chris and Sandra there, and Steph on the dance floor too.

Yeah we thought it was a fab one, decent size and nice and close to the tiered terrace and bars!

A lovely ship, even empty and after hours the pool area looked good. Attention to details and upkeep make the difference I think.

Happy Anniversary Looks like you had great fun the cake looked delicious 😊 We have booked cabin A304 on Aurora next January for a 65day cruise . Can you remember if one wardrobes was split so has two hanging rails so double space for Tops and shirts. I was pleading with the camera open the wardrobes open the wardrobes pleaseeee 😂😂 I wanted to see the layout and if any shelves as you can imagine a cruise that long, storage is going to be an issue lol
Thank you! You have 3 cupboards, a double and a single.
The double had two long shelves the whole width. Life jacket on the top and then space for folded clothes on the other. You also have a single rail for the whole width.
In the single one, you don’t have any shelves, just two rails so you can hang clothes on the top rail and the lower rail.

@karen6603 no probs! We find these older ships do have more space than some of the newer ones. You do have a laundrette on that deck in the forward section which I’m sure will be handy on a 65 day cruise! It will be wonderful cruise looking at where your off and that cabin is ideal, so close to the terrace, it will be like a giant balcony!

Happy anniversary! We did a 16 night cruse in the cabin next door in summer 2022, or second time in Aurora and we loved it. Got engaged on that holiday too ❤

Nice size inside cabin. I liked the fact it was close to the outside door! Was it noisy at all at night?
Not at all, even though we were on the corner we didn’t hear any foot traffic going past and nothing from above or below. 👍

Just put off P&o ships because of the frequency of norovirus and other types of on board sicknesses recently …..just left Southampton last week after disembarking Queen Anne and both Aurora and Britannia were plagued…shame
To be fair, P&O have the most ships leaving the U.K. at the moment, which may be be why your hearing more P&O as in general, Noro has been higher in the U.K. over the last month or two. We have heard of other cruise lines with noro issues recently.
Regular hand washing and sanitising is what’s needed and something we do on all our cruises. Unfortunately some people still don’t wash their hands after using the toilet 🤢
Honestly, don’t be put off!
@@CruiseMonkeys the conduct of people in the buffet has a huge impact on the spread of bacteria / virus etc …

Love your work a lot. Would be great if we could differentiate your cruises that you pay that the cruise line doesn't know you are onboard, vs free and perked trips that give you a different experience than the rest of us punters. So we know whether to spend big money for some of us. I think it's cool, you should have fun and be spoiled. I l9ve watching your content no matter what, bit would be great to know. Totally get you have to love everything when they pay you, so it would be so great for your customers if you would be able to differentiate. Thank you!
For avoidance of any doubt, we fully paid for this cruise ourselves. The wine and cake were gifts from our followers.
The UK Advertising Standards Agency and Social media platforms like TH-cam have strict rules, when you are given something for free or hosted on a trip you MUST declare this upfront. We do this every time.
In over 40 cruises, we have only ever received the 1 night onboard Queen Anne last month, the 7 night Virgin cruise last year and the 7 night Avalon cruise in 2022. In all these videos we clearly state we were invited and you’ll see on the video TH-cam puts up a notice saying ‘includes paid promotion’.

Yea, we did :)
We wouldn’t want to walk it to be honest - city or horizon yes, but mayflower is further along. For the £6 is costs it is worth getting a taxi (we use west quay cars / radio taxi but Southampton also has Uber)
